Russia has openly offered itself to the West since the collapse of the USSR, and with just a little more feeling for its interests,
which the West could then quite painlessly incorporate with its power its strategic interests in a broader sense - everything
could have been different.

Yeah, a little more feeling for its interest - just to unfair, aly preserve its impact on the rest of the post-soviet countries. Let them be independent, but let it be pretended, not real. And we will palm off our pro-russian politicians, influence public sentiment, and split the country from within. Of course, everything could have been different. Talk about everything being different with Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia and many other countries.

Russia is isolated completely and they have failed this war no matter how it ends from now.Economically speaking and with the sanctions put to them they need at least 40 years in order to keep up with Western advanced technologies which they have no access anymore as they cannot import vital technological chips for their devices, this alone for me is devastating but the results of such move will be felt with the passing of a couple of years. It will be exactly then that Russian citizens themselves will not care anymore about their government and wide protests will go on,they will see how far behind they will be.They will be poorer and they will blame Putin them but it will be too late.

Or you could escape your medieval mentality and understand that maybe, only maybe, the people in Ukraine may actually have something to say about the future of Ukraine and their own future and choose how they want to live and what do they choose to die for.

Alas, I am asking the impossible. You live too long under someone's foot and the only thing left in your brain is trying to choose the nicest looking shoe sole to get smashed in fashion.

Lol, someone talking about nations and states accusing someone of "medieval mentality"

This practice of double standards from the representative of the UK is simply amazing. Grin

There is a swamp with no possibility of organizing a crossing for tanks and armored vehicles. The activity of small sabotage groups in this area does not personally bother me too much, but if this serves as a source of cheer for you, I will not disappoint you.

In general, regarding the Ukrainian offensive, whose timing is constantly shifting, I can say the following. It seems that the "Bakhmut meat grinder" operation inflicted a critical level of damage on Ukraine at the level of junior officers with real combat experience. And the offensive potential of Russia now looks much higher than the offensive potential of Ukraine.
So far there is no reason to get excited, but after all, it's quite significant thing to move through such river like Dnipro river is quite significant thing. Otherwise probably he wouldn't see complaints about it on Russian telegram channels. Moving through Kherson steppes also looked like impossible task, but somehow Ukrainians forced Russians to retreat from city.
Shifting timing of Ukrainian offensive, I'm not sure how you can tell when it's never been promised that it will begin on date x. Various dates in press were mentioned by various Ukrainian and foreign politicians, but it would be ridiculous to rely on it like on official information. Not of them aren't Zaluzhnyi to tell such such things.
''offensive potential of Russia now looks much higher than the offensive potential of Ukraine'' - probably it was possible to say such words at any stage of this war just because of military size, but when you see T-55 tanks moved to front, it raises questions about their potential.
Tanks with missiles have already ended, the Russians are fighting with sapper shovels and sledgehammers. Grin

Meanwhile, US General Christopher Cavoli, Supreme Commander of the Allied Armed Forces of NATO in Europe, said yesterday that Ukraine has already received 98% of the weapons promised to it. There will be no Abrams and F16, you will have to attack with what you have. Don't worry, this isn't the first time the Americans have scammed their allies. It seems the time has come for Ukraine to start turning towards China. I think reconciling Sunnis and Shiites is still more difficult than Russians and Ukrainians.

where did I speak about nations and states? Get you head of your Karl Marx writings illustrated edition for kids and read: I always speak about people, and however they choose to organise themselves. Typically it will be in states, as that's how the world is today, but affiliation is a choice in any case.

But going back to something practical... it seems that Gazprom has also recruited and sent mercenaries to fight in Bhakmut and... guess what... the Wagnerites are not allowing them to retreat when Ukraine shells the shit out of them. The RF is starting to look like a very disorganised bunch of warlords competing... who knows when they will start killing each other.

One of the deepest problems of these people is that they are always looking for someone to blame for their misfortunes and nightmarish lives. Now they blame the West, Ukraine, NATO, in the future they may blame putin. But this will not lead to anything, since the very feeling of inferiority caused by the resentment experienced by the whole country does not motivate development (and no protests will help it, especially considering the fact that those protest are far away from beeing full-scale). The point is not that it will be too late, but that nothing will change if they simply transfer their accusations to another facility. Instead of constantly looking for someone to throw off the responsibility for their own problems, they should start doing something to solve them. It is to do it yourself, and not wait for the arrival of the "best ruler" who will clean up after the previous tsar. They need to stop placing their hopes on their superiors and start taking responsibility for themselves. Only then can we talk about some changes in russia.

Experts on Russia pulled themselves into the topic. How do you know about deepest problems of Russian people, did you go to Moscow to work to wash toilets at the train station or build an Olympic stadium in Sochi?

I would change some things in Russia, but not too much. In general, everything is not bad here, there is something wrong in striving for change for the sake of change. sometimes it seems to me that people in the West have gone mad. All these "parent number one", "parent number two", black foot kissing and other gay parades. Fuck that kind of progress. It seems that being a white heterosexual male in the West is now extremely disadvantageous and I am glad that I was lucky to be born in Russia.

Four S-300's peeked their noses out from months of hiding yesterday and promptly got lanced. Talk about a bad day!

The question is whether the German 'Gepard' system which was supposed to protect the S-300's simply sucks, the operators simply suck, or was there some sabotage somewhere along the line.  I'm sure that for most Germans, and probably for most Ukrainians for that matter, the sooner Russia takes what they are going to take, the better, and they just want out.

There is more bad news on other fronts such as the losses of Ukrainian cannon-fodder, but as far as I can tell, the loss of hardware is much more painful to the Ziocons.

I suggest to the jUkroid brown-shirts lay off on burning churches and persecuting Christians just in case the misfortunes can be traced back to God getting a little bit pissed off.

Judging by this screenshot from the onboard camera of the loitering ammunition Lancet, the 'Gepard' guarding the S-300 was also damaged or eliminated.

That is the only good thing left in Russia, people still love families and degeneration is not as en mass as is in the West. However this does not justify at all going to invade another country just for the sake of it and blaming it on NATO expansion, this was the first reason they started this war after all and now they have failed that objective miserably as they just added 1300 km of borders with NATO as Finland join NATO exactly because of this Russian aggression out of nowhere.

I don't think Russia is in a position to call itself lucky nor their citizens unless they agree to be at least 30-40 years back in technology advancement. The sanctions clearly prohibit Russia advanced chips and they are now looking to buy them from India and China which suck compared to Western quality.

Yeah, we are lucky that you were born in russia as well.

I am pretty sure that your frail alpha male egos is one of the reasons that Russia won't be a superpower in the future. You can't build anything concrete on such a fragile foundation.
I can't see being a hetero being any kind of disadvantageous but maybe it's because my identity is quite strong and i don't get frightened so easily when 2 people of same sex love each other. But it's totally understandable in your case when all lgtb info is banned in russia that you would get disinformation instead. So maybe it's not your fault being ignorant.

Even if people in the west have gone mad, it doesn’t change the problematic situation in russia. You can not confident yourself and your position as a better one only because you think that somebody else has worse conditions, which you don’t wish for yourself. Maybe you don’t have “parent #1 and #2”, but it doesn’t mean at all that russian families are healthier or happier, considering a lot of cases of incomplete families and domestic violence, the inability to provide for their children, and so on.

The same applies to gay rhetoric: the fact that you officially despise this issue does not mean that there are no homosexual people in society. What is the result of all this negative rhetoric? You simply pretend that these problems do not exist, when in fact the only result is the restriction of the freedoms of citizens. The same goes for war. How can you say that you were lucky to be born in russia, if the very fact of this birth puts you in front of the risk of being killed in a war against your will? You can be as happy as you want that you are a straight white male who can openly express disgust for Western realities, but what is the point if you are doing it just because the state allowed you to? Tomorrow the position of the government may change, and then what to do if you are doomed to live in a country that is not free?

I am a parent and i find american conservative fear mongering and misleading podcasts to be a disadvantage as well. Especially when they raport about about countries they know nothing about, or aftermath of any situation. Watch tucker Carlson as well if you like to listen more of lying biggots. No matter what actual experts would say, please don't google experts what ever you do, only christian conservative podcasts, because those wouldn't be twisting reality, now wouldn't they.

I don't care what two or more people of either sex do at home. But I find the recent Western practice of sex reassignment surgery among underage teenagers just disgusting. Persons who have not reached legal maturity should not make such irreversible and traumatic decisions regarding their natural gender identity, and adults who allow them to do so at a protest age should be held criminally responsible. Gender identity is like a hole in the ass - everyone has it. But don't show it to my kids.

I am also glad that I can compliment any pretty girl in Russia and be sure that she does not and never had a dick in her panties, and I will not get a sexual harassment lawsuit from her. You may consider me old-fashioned in this regard.

As for the fact that I am misinformed about the true state of affairs about the LGBT movement in the West, because LGBT propaganda is prohibited in Russia - do not flatter yourself too much about this. For example, this forum in Russia is also banned.

Not the only one. I can also attribute to the advantages of Russia its vast territory. There is no need to especially fight for a place under the sun, because there is plenty of space for everyone.

The strictness of laws in Russia is offset by the optionality of their implementation. As an ideological anarchist, I can say that at the everyday level, anarchism in Russia is the dominant trend. There are not so many points of contact with bureaucracy of any kind for an ordinary person in life. I am sure that there is much more freedom in my life than you have. People in the West often wonder why people in Russia don't go out to rallies and overthrow the evil tyrant Putin? The answer is simple - no one cares, the totalitarian dictatorship does not particularly oppress anyone. Except those who are financed from the West and are trying to overthrow it.

So you should be quiet and not to lean out, not to express your opinion in public in order to not being oppressed? Interestingly it turns out that the regime crushes those who disagree. It probably sees them as a threat. The question arises, is it not unreasonable? Maybe this disagreement arises among people who actually care. It is very convenient to abdicate all responsibility for what your country is doing and say that no one cares. What will you say when you are banned from leaving the country or sent a summons? Will you care then? Apparently, some kind of personal tragedy created by the state is always necessary in order for an individual russian to think about whether he cares about something or not.

You ask good questions, but are you ready to answer them yourself before hearing my answer? Moreover, for you, as a citizen of Ukraine, they are much more relevant. Why don't you oppose Russian aggression with weapons in your hands? Why don't you defend democracy against the attacks of the hated totalitarian regime on your home country?

I am glad you finally admit the point of my questions. And finally admit that we are talking about russian aggression here, not some special operation, not some fight for the right of russian speaking people. Of course, they are relevant to me. This is my home being destroyed for more than a year, not yours. I have to live in in ignorance about when your soldiers will stop shoveling into my country and destroying it in every possible way. Answering your question - how do you know I haven’t done it?
