Early in his career as Arsenal manager, I was advocating for him to be sacked. At some stage he froze out and omitted Ozil from the squad completely in what at the time was a highly contentious decision but the board backed him. Personally, I thought the decision was premature as Ozil could have been part of the squad until the end of that season.

When he took action against Aubameyang, I thought it would unsettle the dressing room and cause the end of Arteta a season after Arsenal won the FA Cup but it was a fantastic decision. Arteta has since managed to bring Arsenal close to winning the Premier League. If Gyokores is not successful in the Premier League because he could make the transition from the Primeira Liga, I think it will be harsh to blame Arteta. Calling it the "farmers league" did make me laugh though  

As for Eze, it is obvious if the deal goes through he would not have the impact at Arsenal that he consistently does at Crystal Palace because he was one of their main players. I am looking at the amounts some of these teams are paying to buy players that are definitely overpriced and wonder how long it will continue.

Has Arterta made any good decisions for Arsenal?, the board are okay with him finishing second so him going after washout players isn't getting criticized. Maybe this time they have found a gem with Eze but I don't think he'll have as much impact he had at crystal palace with Arsenal. Gyokores though is one signing that I'm optimistic about because of his goals contribution but all that wasn't in the premier league which we can all agree is harder to score on them the farmers league he's coming from. I have high hopes for him though but won't be buying until he starts showing us some of his qualities.

Was looking to find something on him but, seems his going through some injury problems though not a serious one. Dcant really say if I should do away with him this early but, I’m already feeling late on my earlier decision to have not brought Haaland in from GW1. Had to look at my budget in trying to accommodate Palmer, Salah and Joao all in one team, while having a good defense line. Seems I got it wrong with Palmer and what a time to be withdrawn, when I’m looking to utilize every FT I get.

For Enzo's strategy to work without Palmer in this game against West Ham, he will even repeat it again when Palmer is fit again. It was always between Wirtz and Palmer to be thrown out of the team, Palmer has made the choice easier for most to make.

Palmer's injury combined with Nuno's imminent sacking from Nottingham Forest (Defensive stability to be replaced with Angeball; thanks for nothing Mr Mariankis) wil require me to reshuffle my team for next week. Just want to wait for all of the games to conclude so I can assess what my options are.

Unbelievably, I seem to be stuck with my team as I was unable to change players before Chelsea demolished West Ham therefore lost potential points.

Anyway, for now at least I suppose nobody would hold it against me if I post this image. After the games that will be played today and tomorrow, the positions will change again but it does feel as though I am learning fast.

No, they are strongly considering sacking him but I think he might survive until the end of GW2.

It sucks because now I have to dismantle my triple NFO defense because I don't trust Ange to keep clean sheets.

Also, is everyone's autocorrect changing Forest to Forrest or something? Maybe Forrest Gump is one of the words in their dictionary

It's not results of course. He's mad about the signings and transfer policy, and generally not an easy guy to work with. He's constantly arguing with the board.
If he does leave however, I agree that Forest's defensive assets won't look as tempting anymore.

As it is my first attempt, I was unaware of all of the rules. Originally, I had no idea about captains, vice-captains and multiple points otherwise I would have opted for Salah as captain for the Premier League opening game on Friday. Anyway, this has worked in my favour. I just need to re-evaluate my bench, I have to change (Bamford) my striker as soon as I get a chance.

You have a brilliant midfield with Marmoush, Fernandes, Saka and Palmer (even with his injury). If Watkins performs as good as Joao Pedro yesterday and midfield plays well as expected, you will add points. With Rashford leaving Aston Villa, it should mean more time on the pitch for Watkins.

Such a shame with Ait-Nouri going down for Man City inside the opening 25 minutes with an injury, luckily I don't have him but you don't want to see players start get injured just in the second week of the season, and he's a guy I already have on my watchlist for my wildcard, not anymore again I guess.

Finally the Manchester City vs Tottenham game has ended. Man, I was so anxious.    Because I had Porro being substituted to take Palmer's place. I was so afraid he'd get a red card after the yellow...

But no, despite my dislike for City, I didn't like seeing Ait-Nouri going off like that either. No one wishes injury on his worst enemy in football.

I quite disappointed that Romero is on my bench and with 7 points, more annoyingly he's not my 1st auto sub for Palmer, I thought why play 2 Tottenham defense against Man City team that tore Wolves apart last weekend, little did I know what Tottenham had planned for City and Guardiola.

Now that is the City we know from last season, losing a game from the moment they concede a goal, no response whatsoever, just aimless passing around with no penetration, even when playing at the Etihad. I am not convinced about Marmoush, i know he had a few flashes of brilliance last season, but i have a feeling he is overhyped.

I have Reijnders and Haaland in my team and i could only get 6 points between them, despite Haaland being my C, not a good week.

It is just what Guardiola does. He always tinkers with the squad depending on what his opponent plays. For me that is plain over complicating in situation where you have a top 5 club in the world. That tinkering already costed him CL games in times when City was winning PL.

He really did a lot for the football and teams he managed but sometimes it seems he is his worst enemy. I will never understand how Foden didn't play more minutes over the years.
