I think a pool can even be gathered in a week -- but I don't want to overestimate forum people either. League football sure, club football like UCL sure, World Cup you think would get the most interest from practically anyone in this forum who watches football, but when it comes to putting a few mBTCs on the line, they're all ghosting haha. Understandable of course, real life takes precedence.

Offer them bigger prizes, free bets, shirts and other merch and you will attract people much easier.
It's not always about sending few mBTC, people don't have time to participate and make regular picks in long time, and World Cup is only month month long.

A joint casino thing is something I'd really like too, it's a once in 4 years thing. I doubt their marketing arms will agree though -- and I'm not sure I want to start that conversation with them. What do the rest of you think?

Why not? Wouldn't it be interesting to try different strategies ranging from super-reliable to super-aggressive? Taking into account the fact that almost all participants in the pools wear signatures, the entrance fee to different pools would be quite affordable for everyone, since in the end it can be said that this is "free" money.

You KTC are damn good predictor, so I think we should limit number of pools you can join   and I am joking.

This was the biggest pool in terms of guaranteed prize money which is already in escrow, and it was the hardest to convince people, so I actually think there's only so much a big prize can attract. Definitely it has to be a minimum amount, I agree, but there seems to be a ceiling after which interest plateaus.

Yeah, I thought about that but the only way might be to write all the rules beforehand and agree on it through a DAO (I believe the EU already t trialled blockchain DAOs for some small public bidding projects), but there might be a simpler way to do it. I don't know how it works but before NFT crash a lot of people were using DAOs but not sure if to decide on what to bid for or to actually manage.

Anonymous bids that are submitted as data rather than funds/coins, or maybe a fixed amount of coin as bidding fee and only the contract creator can view the data submitted?

Talking seriously, i dont know who was the man who say how many can join this one, but i agree in full when he say a lot of members of the forum disapear when you say to them they have to put some chips to join. I cant belive that, some have really good incomes from signatures and they dont come to play, when you can have so much in return.

I have a list in my head about the regulars one in the mayority of the pools and i can say we are 15/20 regulars no much more plus 10 who only play 2/3 pools.

So i think 30 its the baseline we can have.

Hey boys, I haven't looked into this thread for a while. Things in the CL aren't going so poorly for me after all. 

But to calm you down: I have as little idea how the games turn out as you do. I guess I'm just very lucky at the moment. On the other hand, things are going all the worse in the Bundesliga and Premier League betting rounds.

Therefore, do not be angry if I am currently on top. It certainly won't stay that way until the end. And maybe I'll really type 4:4 a few times to keep things exciting.

I think the opposite of such games,I think Milan will win tonight in Zagreb and Chelsea I doubt it will go further than a draw.Chelsea comes from two consecutive draws in the Premier League and the moral is not at the highest,the fact that Chelsea could not beat Salzburg at home in the game where they played in London further makes me think that tonight it can happen again,a draw.

For the Dinamo game though,Dinamo is undoubtedly the best team in Croatia but Milan comes from Serie A and Serie A is a much stronger league so that is why I think they will win tonight.

I'm not going to make much of Barcelona game, except of course something interesting happens at Italy between Inter and Plzen, either way, I'll be expecting goals at both ends.

I really don't think Milan vs Zagreb would be an entertaining match to see and I don't even see much goals in it, I'll likely be tuned into Man City vs Dortmund, or Juventus vs Benfica, both matches should be quite dramatic and/or entertaining.
