You forgot that the confrontation consists of 2 games. 16 games will be played in the 1/8 finals, 8 games in the 1/4, 4 games in the 1/2 and one final game. So there are 29 games ahead.

Do not check the positions but rather check the points difference and from what I see the points difference let everyone dream to get at least to the last prize position,of course I am talking about us standing near the bottom of the table but with not so much points difference to the last prize position.

That 15 positions climbing should make us all hopeful for better results and as there are 29 games left,it means that there are 87 points more to play for,nothing is lost yet.

You're right, the positions are not as important and definitely not as heartbreaking as say the EPL pool, but in MY position anyway it seems impossible, but I always try. One more last round for me to try crazy outcomes, but I have to do it for yellow cap to recover at least something.

The group stage has ended but tomorrow on 7 November we will have the official draw,from the two vases we can expect some really good clashes for the 1/16 of the elimination stage.

I also check only the next day the results of a round because I usually fall asleep before 23 PM when the round results are updated in the Superbru pool.I think the positions in the top 2 places there are strong candidates to win the pool and the first place gets a really nice prize,the fact that only 28 games or so remain should make those people happy,including you because most probably you KTC are going to be the winner.

You know we're just laying into you, right? Nice to know always that forum guys are also regular like me. I'm only coming into my 10th next year, but it does feel very long (and actually will probably be expected to do something to keep me away from forum to celebrate that haha).

I think in football especially some taunts and jeers are universal haha. When I used to watch football, we'd also like be cheering and clapping when the opponent is trying to make an attack, and if they fail, they get a huge cheer.

That's actually preferable to the abusive taunts I think I heard way more often back then than these days.

I think that is also a tradition of Brazil so most likely can be a tradition to the South American countries.I remember a funny story though which shows me that superstitions never work,back in 2008 when Lewis Hamilton was fighting for the title against Felipe Massa in the last race in Brazil the fans of Massa gave him the shirt of Vasco de Gama,an eternal second place in Brazilian soccer as they said,so they hoped Lewis would not win the F1 season at that time while he won and by a huge help because of luck,the Glock car broke down in the last lap.

Too bad for your wish PSG lost the top spot to Benfica, so they're out of the options for now, and so is Milan, with Chelsea also getting the top spot of their group, that leaves you with Benfica, Porto, Bayern and Real Madrid.

I'm sure the name Real Madrid does leaves a sour taste at the mouth Liverpool fans, and I don't think getting a chance to eliminate them at the round of 16 would the best kind of revenge they'd be hoping to get... I think it's going to be a showdown between Liverpool and Benfica for the next round though.

Damn, yeah. I saw that myself, quite a lot of position-changing in final game, final minutes. Those aren't great options at all for entertainment. Porto I'm sick with. Benfica, sure, but it feels like Porto. Bayern would be my top choice to meet (though would have preferred QF onwards) and Real, well, as you said, it's not the best revenge opportunity, we really need to redress the W points in our recent H2Hs but would probably lean towards picking them rather than Porto/Benfica.

Damn mate! Careful what you wish for, they said... It's a repetition of the final and I've said you're not going to get best revenge but if that's saves you the heartbreak of another final early, wouldn't it be better ?

with Bayern facing PSG, I think we're going get deprived of an entertaining Semi finals/Quarter finals since we're going to lose a number of big teams to elimination this early into the knockout face, Man City probably couldn't have wished for any better opponent, I'd say.

Looks like Manchester City will have a walk in the park against Leipzig while all others encounters are of great danger to each team,with Real Madrid vs Liverpool and PSG vs Bayern  Munchen being the most two difficult ones,it looks like we will lose at least two very strong contenders to the title in the 1/16 phase of the Champions League.

I also think Napoli will not have any problems while also Inter looks like they will have an easy opponent as Porto is not in the best of their capabilities so a really strong draw for the 1/16 in my opinion.

If the knockout stages were to hold this week or next week, my predictions would have been slightly different, it's not simply because the knockout stages would start until February and I know Liverpool would have gotten their shits together, I'll definitely fancy them in a 2-legged tie ahead of Real Madrid, especially due how sloppy they can be and sometimes needs to ride on the horse of extreme luck. I really doubt Real Madrid would have made it past Liverpool last season, if they were in the same situations as they were with PSG, Chelsea or Man City.

As for my decision of favoring PSG over Bayern Munich, I think Bayern Munich are pretty much vulnerable now, their group stage prowess might state otherwise, but I think PSG have everything to hurt Bayern Munich, but maybe it hasn't been to used convincingly up until now, but I think in time to come they'd get much more better.

I think we have to wait to make predictions. Its a really long way to next round so a lot of teams can change his form, and can make some buys in winter markets.

I think its a very bad draw , because we have 4 titles contender fighting each other in this round of 16 and very low tier teams who can go to round of 8 and doesnt have the level, but well luck its like this.

By the way, I don't know about "easy to open" - basically when at the end of the tour I open Superbru it writes to me that "data is being updated" or something like "service is temporarily unavailable" - as I understand it, they have problems with overloads.

Your prediction is 98% of what i predicted on some other forums though my only issues is with the AC milan - Tottenham game its a tough one. Dortmund - Chelsea would be one of the easiest games to win if we get back Kante, James, and Chilwell match fit =+ some additional players coming in in January. I'm also looking forward to the PSG-Bayern game; with Messi in his current form, the PSG team will undoubtedly cause havoc for the Bayern team. Manchester City has yet another easy draw.
