After watching how Scotland got thrashed by Germany yesterday, I think Albania might be the next team to concede a lot of goals when they play against Italy. Being the weakest team placed in Group B, all of the other 3 teams will want to earn points from the hands of Albania and they are surely going to be playing offensively against Albania right from the start of the match, I guess Italy will be able to beat Albania easily today.

Of course Italy are going to comfortable win against Albania. It's clear that Italy and Germany are the biggest teams in the club and they are not going to disappoint their fans. Germany started with a banger and Italy are going to do the same thing. Although I expect Germany to win the group A while Italy will be the runner up. Germany is aiming to be the championship in their home soil, so I'm not surprised that they kicked off the tournament with a banger against Scotland.

Disappointed to see Switzerland leading by 1-0 against Hungary. London-born Kwadwo Duah scored a goal in the 12th minute to put Switzerland ahead. Hungary need to win the match today to keep their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stage alive. As of now, the Swiss are dominating the match, with 60% possession so far. We are still in the first half, so there is a chance that Hungary may still get at least one point from this game. And in a short while the match between Spain vs Croatia will start.

I think this match will be an easy win for Switzerland because their performance is much better than Hungary and Switzerland has already scored 2 goals. The difference between the two teams looks quite striking, where Switzerland seems to dominate the match and they do have a pretty solid rhythm, plus they can utilize their advantage in pace. It seems true that Albania will be the team that will concede more goals in group B considering that the teams in the same group as Albania are Italy, Spain and Croatia.
Even though we consider Albania to be a weak team, who knows, they could appear surprising when facing Italy. The score, if Albania had been able to provide tough resistance, might have been different.

It will be quite interesting to wait for what will happen in Group B in their first match. Spain and Italy still seem to be the favorites in this group, but it still doesn't rule out the possibility that Croatia and Albania will be able to make a surprise. I have started gambling from the first match. It did not look like there will be a both team to score in the Germany vs Scotland especially after the sent off. But in a match where goals were looking easy, one or two slip was expected. I am glad Scotland scored.

Last night, Germany and Scotland faced off in the opening match of the 2024 European Football Championship, where Germany won a comfortable victory with a score of 5-1. It's crazy to see Germany this year and it's so far from what they've shown before. They destroyed Scotland's defense so easily and made them unable to do anything throughout the match. The situation got worse after one of the Scottish players received a red card which meant they only played with 10 players.

However, despite all of that, I am still amazed by Toni Kroos' performance because out of 102 passes he succeeded 101 times and only failed once. I still can't believe that a player as good as this who changed the flow of Germany's tempo will soon retire and I still don't think he wants to leave football at its peak.

For the other matches today I will be holding Switzerland, Croatia and Italy.

Toni Kroos already shown his talent in Bayern Munich and many years ago, I was very impressed with Kroos' distant shots and some amazing goals he scored for Bayern Munich. It's when he was very young and honestly I did not know too much about him and his ability to control match intensity for his team. Let Kroos moves to Real Madrid is a very big mistake from Bayern Munich and in Bernabeu, Kroos achieved massive success. His career from Bayern Munich to Real Madrid is deserved to be respectful for admirable.

Winning Champions League is a dream with many star players and with Kroos, he won many 6 titles with Real Madrid, it's unbelievable. He also won World Cup with Germany and only lack of Euro title in his career. This summer is his last chance to win Euro title because he decided to retire after this tournament.

I was not surprised to see Toni Kroos' performance because he is a senior player who has above average quality, but his decision to retire was a bit surprising because in terms of quality he is still very good and he still has a strong enough physique to continue to show his best performance.

Germany's victory in the opening match of this Euro was quite landslide and even in the last few Euro events, it was a big win in an open match and indeed, in terms of quality, Germany is quite ready and good at this year's Euro.

It's boring, but Italy also has sharpness that is quite troublesome for opponents. Albania made history for their national football by being eligible for this Euro. They will enjoy this Euro and have nothing to lose so they will play with all things they have and as being said, simply enjoy their first Euro.

Albania have less experience than Scotland in World Cup and Euro and can be a victim of Italy. Italy is different than Germany and they don't often win big like Germany against weak team. It can help Albania to avoid big loss like Scotland under Germany but I believe Albania will not have any point from Italy.

If they can not beat Albania, they will have more risk to go home after three matches in their group. Italy with their tradition and favorite tactics won't play too attacking and they don't have good attacking players to do this too. Their player quality is worse than in Euro 2020 with Mancini as their head coach. Spaletti and Mancini are coaches who favorite attacking but Spaletti is realistic to know that Italy must win this match and won't be allowed to make mistake. They must get three points and make a foundation for next two matches with Spain and Croatia, that will decide their ending rank in this challenging group.

It may be true, the odds available now look like a trap. But considering Spain's performance in qualifying, I think they deserve to be favorites over Croatia. Of course Croatia is a strong team with good player depth, but I actually think Spain has better quality.

Nico Williams, Morata and Lamine Yamal are believed to be able to help Spain lead this match with a win. It feels like Lamine Yamal has taken on big responsibilities too quickly in the Spanish national team, but this 16 year old youngster has the credentials to take on big tasks in the first team. Yamal is too young in my opinion, but his appearance is no longer like a player his age.

Pedri, Rodri and Fabian Ruiz are expected to be able to control the middle game and help the attack be more effective, but this is a difficult game so I think it is very difficult to guess who can win. Croatia is good with its main squad composition, they are also dangerous and should not be underestimated.

Germany has done their best and they have gotten pretty good results, I think this big victory has increased the motivation of the German players to be able to maintain their good performance.
On the one hand, we see that Scotland's performance was very bad, but I see on the other hand that Germany played much more prepared so they were able to make Scotland unable to do many things in this match and in terms of quality, Germany was far above Scotland, so this victory it is quite natural for Germany to get it.

Im not underestimating Croatia, but it is impossible for the bookmaker to give odds of 2+ for Spain to win against Croatia.
That will only happen when Spain face another favorite team in this Euro or in a group match that is no longer important for Spain.
And the odds for Spain have started to going down now, only 1.85x, this is definitely because more people are betting on Spain to win than a draw or Croatia to win.
Whats interesting is, that Under 2.5 only gets 1.73x - It looks like there wont be many goals in this match.
