Yes, this is true, but there is a logical explanation for this - many residents of third world countries after entering the United States will "get lost" and stay there illegally. By the way, I don’t know how it is now, but earlier, for everyone entering the US legally, vaccination (from covid) was mandatory, and for illegal immigrants who crossed the border and demanded citizenship/asylum, there was no such requirement  Thus, it was safer to enter the US illegally.

There are many people who think letting America host the 2026 world cup was a wrong decision and that they will have problems visiting this country to watch the World Cup games but I disagree and I think since America got the experience of hosting other great tournaments, they won't disappoint us and we are going to see a better world cup than what we saw in Qatar.

I am 100% sure that in terms of organization in the US everything will be at the top level. One reason for us to make sure about the quality of the 2026 world cup is because America hosting this event, people from all over the world watch the games and since America wants to prove they still can host a great event with better quality than others countries, I think American will try to be a better host than Qatar. 

We should also keep in mind there is a long path before reaching the 2026 year and many things can happen in a few years. If you are the kind of person who pay attention to the international news perhaps you have noticed how the political and economical landscape in the United States has been becoming more radical.

Sure, the USA has the resources to host a good event, but I am afraid the scenario for a World cup could degenerate fairly fast in these years, as more people keep an eye on the spending.

That's a basic mistake in graphics design. It won't scale down nicely. Any logo should be a vector image.

Also, the number 26 looks obese basically. Maybe they are subtly trying to say something

United States have undergone a lot of changes in 32 years. It is not the same country as it was in 1994. Visa rules have been tightened and in some cases visa applicants need to wait for up to 10 years to get a hearing. But one thing is sure. Unlike the case with Qatar 2022, we can be sure that there will be no exploitation of the laborers, and there will be no discrimination against the unmarried couples and LGBTs. But conducting a tournament across a geographical region spanning for 22 million sq.km will have it's own challenges.

LOL.. looks as if they wanted to compensate for the anti-LGBT themes at the Qatar edition, and therefore created a rainbow themed logo. 2026 edition of the FIFA World Cup will be held in North America and it is expected that FIFA will receive around $6 billion in revenues from this event. They could have spent a few hundred USD to create a good logo. Any of the freelancers would have created a better design. Anyway, I still believe that these logos are very preliminary and FIFA will finalize on some good designs as the tournament approaches.

But some colours are barely visible. Either we have just a small picture and on banners that "26" would look better, or designers have really failed. Without knowing, that each colour represent each stadium/city, many would think that this is a LGBTQ related banner.

Lol oh God this logo is too much for eyes literally too many sharp colours striking our eyes and senses , if fifa wanted to represent countries or teams they should have opted for some pastels which might be soothing for eyes.

Another relevant news: The FIFA President announced that the teams will be grouped by regions, to avoid long trips, at least in the initial phase.

In my opinion this was already expected, but now it is official. We still don't have more information about how it will work and how many regions will be divided, but this already removes the doubt of those who were worried about the team having to cross the country to play a game in a few hours.

Other major events will be mostly based on specific continent, so organising those events in a grand manner isn't a big thing for a country like America. When it comes to FIFA, it is to be considered about the travel, accomodation and particularly the cost. Just because more people are getting into the country everything could get hike in value. These are the responsibilities the governing body should consider so that people from all around the world reach America to watch football.

Exactly, I think since we had an economic crisis in most of the countries and they don't have good situations it was a wise move to let a country like America host the world cup because they have enough potential to host the great events and even if Mexico and Canada were not co-hosting the world cup America could easily host the world cup by itself.

I doubt that this has anything to do with the economic crisis or with the pandemic as the bid to become the World Cup host was made in 2017. I think that the USA along with Mexico and Canada had the strongest application in the field. I don't know whether this trend that there will be joint co-hosting will continue in the future, but I am still an advocate of this decision. There are so many countries in the world and if you want to give most of them a fair chance to host a World Cup anytime soon, allowing for co-hosting makes a lot of sense.
