Well i have again to come with this, i think we need to void the possesion question, the UEFA web sadly colleted porrly the statistic for possesion, i dont know why that happen but its clearly demostrable (more if you see the game). I know this its not pleasant but anyone has to say this.

Furthermore, you cannot calculate possession simply by watching the game; there are criteria. I watched part of the first half and the English were in complete control of the game; the Italians only began eating back possession in the last 20 minutes when Shaw was sent off. England sat back for the last 20mins of the game.


Are we going to go with the outcome based on what Sofascore says if other official websites state YES and Sofascore states NO? is there no enough proof from all other games yesterday that sofascore got all wrong?

Lol. yes the goal gave me a life line but then if England hadn't been so dominant in the first and lost the dominance and being one man down, it would have been an entirely different story, it was you who got lucky with that question because we both could have missed it as well, the truth is I still have significant level of confidence, I danced to your tune, and some questions I answered was because of what I knew you'd settle for too, so for each I question I'm convinced about my answer I try to go for the easiest I think you'd likely go for too, but then the England question isn't one of them, I knew the clause attached to England dominating, If the score had remain goalless at halftime, or it was Italy with the lead, England would definitely have dominated both possession and the passes significantly.

The instant James and Galla were introduced, I knew England would stop caring about possession. However, Italy only managed to make 1 shot throughout the entire game, which was bad play on their part. What do you think of the game between France and Holland?

the netherland line up is so average, there was no way they were going to get anything from this game, the virus outbreak in their camp screwed me up since most of their first team players were sent home, I didnt see this coming, kudos on that point. We are now focus on the Sunday game to see how things turn out. It's been a fun ride thus far.

Those are not reputable sites those are all data scrapers that are getting their info probably from UEFA page. Sofascore isn't any better, they are just using different source. There are some other pages which I trust more, they are all giving possession advantage to Italy but I am also not sure about their source. UEFA site is wrong about this game, I am 100% sure about passing stat at least. Possession seems wrong as well but I am not 100% sure about that. Will do more research tomorrow.

Doesn't matter in the end, it is our problem and we will grade it to the best of our abilities. If we get confirmation about stats from reputable bookies I will consider that as correct answer. If we don't get it we will do the best we can.

I noticed that the England-Italy game is marked out on the spreadsheet; not following the UEFA official stats for all games will only create doubts; at the very least, if you believe the UEFA is incompetent/made mistake, you should provide data from other sources., I've scroll through about 10 famous score sites and its all the same but there is nothing wrong with digging deep into the shaky water. The Denmark match was 1-1 until the 82nd minute, then I gave up, but then it became 2-1 and then the last 3-1 in 90+3 minutes! It was maximum bad luck on your part and lucky me😂

I have gone through many pages and many have 58%-42 to Italy. and then many have 49-51% To England.
I watched the match myself and am sure that Italy won the ball possession.

But I don't want to win any points this way when we are unsure of the answer.

Its totally true, I had a good chance. I took draw so its either I got point from this or I dont and you wont get anything so that was to my advantage but it didnt happen. I don't agree with this since this isn't really a situation open to interpretation. If the difference between UEFA and everybody else was 1% or maybe 2% we would of course take UEFA one as legit and there would be no discussion. 10% difference is way too much and somebody made a mistake, we will never accept consciously plain wrong result just because somebody wrote it. Common sense must prevail.

If we had March goal in our question he would have got it awarded after official PL awarded it to him. Problem is Fantasy PL would only take that change into their game if it is made up to 1 hour after the game. Plain stupid if you ask me. We have until the week deadline to settle this situation in most fair way, after that it will be final and I am sure some of you will not be happy which ever way we decide.

I'm getting the feeling that this place is being very tight with everyone.
Almost all of us are getting it right and failing the same number of times. We are very much tied or winning by a minimal difference. The last questions of the rounds will be decisive, but for many, the final result will probably be a tie, if both choose the same things.

This week dedicated to selections, things are more balanced. We will see the final result between everyone, but I would say that we will have a lot of draws.

Other from the sofascore, what other sources had different stats? The 10% is only on sofascore; this is an open investigation, it would be easier if you provided your source so that we could also look at it. I've looked at the Top 20 google rated scores websites and they are all the same, and the well-known ones that we are all familiar with match up nicely with the one on the UEFA website.

Those who placed bets on bookmakers that England will have the most possession (51) have already won since 24hrs ago.

If we are not going to stick with the official website stats and other well known sources then this could be a problem for the rest of the UEFA games.

Hi to all, i dont know why the data collect from UEFA and other pages in this game was so wrong and only corresponds for the first half you can check easily by the ammount of passes.

The ammount of passes are very similar whit the first half one from the other pages of stats. (Sofascore, Google)

A normal game have between 700-1200 passes and this game between two TOP national teams has only 450? ITs obviusly wrong. Its like a game ends 5-0 and  in shoot on Target we have 1 shoot on target and no owngoals, this its clearly wrong.

Im not the guy who always checked this but when i come to the thread, and you (igehh) shared the link with the stats of UEFA and see it, i said to myself wait a minute this its impossible, if i see the game (because i bet in it, in live) and also say to myself i put England to win possesion lets check how the question was, and when i recheck with sofascore and Google see they have a more real percentage.

Anyways realy thanks to Trofo and Cryptofrka to take this so seriously and recheck all also to take the time to re-watch the game that was so much. And im not gonna blame anyone for the decission you finally took no matter what decission is, because its a shit situation what happen ,and its 1 in a million one this happen.

English FA has Italy at 58% possession, so do Sky Sports, ESPN, Transfermarkt - all of them extremely reputable. Rewatching the game both of us feel that Italy did dominate possession - but cannot be sure.

We feel it is best that we void the question - whatever we decide will cause harm to somebody but voiding it completely will bring the least harm possible.
The logic behind this decision is that we cannot use data from UEFA - and that's the source we announced we'll use - making all other sources invalid.

We are sorry for those influenced by this decision - but this one was really out of our hands.

Wow! Both of you really rewatched the entire game just to see which team had more possession? I don't think that anyone here expected this from you but it just shows how much effort you put into making this competition great and just for everyone participating. Great job guys!
