Yes there are many examples of addiction and one of those are what you've mentioned above mate. The tendency of a gambler is to play alone because they don't want to share when they get a win. when we are not able to fully control ourselves when playing gambling, then it is better for us to ask someone to accompany us when we play with the hope that when we are out of control someone else will wake us up, because obviously your opponent will never warn you when out of control. they expect your defeat.

We always see addiction in a negative way. It's not just the financial aspects of any game that can be addictive. Recovering from addiction is difficult. Right, those scenarios are possible but sometimes I think that when talk about those kind of problems we mostly talk about the extreme scenarios. None of us is supposed to underestimate the extend of the damage that can be caused by unattended gambling addiction, but committing suicide or becoming a thief sounds like something with could not happen as often as we assume. I agree with you that knowing your limits not to chase too much victory at gambling is better than having to keep gambling until you get that victory and for me there is one way and I have done this but this is not recommended.
The other day I was trying to look at my own gambling limits for example I was only chasing wins with a budget of $30 in one week and I bet everything on sports betting if I won I would withdraw the money but if not I would not gamble again for a week waiting to have a budget to bet again .
But keep in mind that I'm doing this using cold money or signature campaign money so it's just like trying my luck and it's not a good recommendation.

Controlling emotions is a difficult thing to do. Even people who are used to controlling their emotions can also lose control of themselves when their emotions escalate. But after all, we must be able to do it because by controlling our emotions, we will avoid mistakes that will result in us losing money. And it certainly won't make us feel hopeless or frustrated for having lost that money because we can prevent it from happening. We only know that recovering lost money is difficult and the same as those who want to chase victory. So instead of continuing to try to get a win, we're just trying to enjoy playing gambling.
