Yes, I admit that since Unai Emery coached this team, Aston Villa has improved. Last season Aston Villa finished in 7th placed and this season it look like Aston Villa will finished in the top 5 if Aston Villa mentality does not decline, but sometime Aston Villa consistency is a little doubtful thats he can beat Manchester City and Arsenal but they were beaten by Manchester United who played badly this season, maybe this is a new job for Emery to improved Aston Villa consistency. So that the club he handles does not falter in the second half of this season so that next season they can get Champions League tickets.

I think Aston Villa performed very well this season. Even though they surprisingly lost to Manchester United, I think it's normal for a team that doesn't have good enough reserve players to be able to perform consistently in every match. I think Unai Emery is able to rotate players well so that they can perform extraordinary this season. Because I think no one predicted that Aston Villa would be able to appear impressive in the league this season. So I think they will get 1 slot in the champions league next season.

It's quite natural that the club has problems finding an outstanding substitute for Kevin De Bruyne because he has defined his own league as a midfielder. There is really a player like him maybe every 5 - 10 years with such persistence and reliability. Whenever he played and was not injured, I can't actually remember a game that I saw and then said that De Bruyne was bad in that game. He always has a least level of performance that is guaranteed a contribution to the whole team. Whether it is assisting them in the defense or scoring goals himself. Too bad that he is probably soon going to retire.

Aston Villa were never in the title race, and you can tell from the way they play. They prefer having the top 4 spot than going for the League which will seem quite difficult for them, well if they want to make top 4 they have to maintain their form by any means, even though it means strengthening it in the current transfer window.

What do you mean when you state that Chelsea contributed a lot to his experience? Do you mean in retrospect because they didn't give him many chances to prove he is a great player? I don't know in how far he benefitted from his stay at Chelsea, but he only played 3 games for Chelsea, so I guess the impact on his career wasn't because he learned how to play in the Premier League, but how to not get the chance in the Premier League and that motivated him to prove he can do it later down the road in his career.

KDB is the backbone of the Manchester City squad. He is easily one of the best creative midfielders of this generation and Pep Guardiola is using him like no one else can. But if you were to ask me who is the most important player in that team, I would say it is between him and Rodri. I know many people are surprised because I didn't say Haaland.

Here is the reason, just like KDB is the backbone of the attack, Rodri is the backbone of the midfield and defense. He controls the whole midfield and joins attacks as well.  He was the MVP in the Club World Cup. And compare the number of wins and losses when Rodri was not playing versus when he was playing. It's one of the games when the advantage on the field doesn't convert into the final score. The full-time result was 1-0 to Middlesborough despite Chelsea being the dominating side. They still have 2nd leg to play on 23rd at home and I'd still expect them to go through.
They have no real chances of finishing in the top 5 of the Premier League, so I don't think they'd be giving up on the EFL Cup that easy. Their fans want to see some trophy.

Manchester United legend and former Captain Micheal Carrick was happy  to see his team win it was a one goal scored and they held on the goal until the last minutes of that game.
