I think Chelsea was really lucky to win the game because it wasn't expected that they will be able to win the game based on how they have been performing.

Chelsea have been inconsistent this season, and their performance can’t be predicted. I was surprised that Chelsea won their match, actually, the match was not really easy for Chelsea, but they were able to secure one goal in the match. Chelsea's performance has improved recently, they have been able to win their last three matches in the Premier League, which is really a nice one for them. Let’s see how they are going to perform in their subsequent matches. Their next Premier League match will be against Liverpool, and I don’t think Chelsea will be able to win the match.

Chelsea still have hope to meet up top four position if they can start performing better in their games.

Chelsea will find it difficult to end the season in the top four, I don’t even think that will be possible. The clubs that I expect to end the season in the top four are Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Aston villa I don’t think Chelsea has any place in the top four this season, I don’t know if that will be possible for them next season.

Chelsea was not able to win the match against Middlesbrough. But I think that was expected from almost everyone. So I don't think it is going to make a lot of difference in the perspective for people.

That could be wrong. Many fans were excited and had high expectations for the match against Preston, confident that Chelsea would come out victorious, especially since they were facing a seemingly easier opponent like Middlesbrough. The reality said the opposite thing which is making so many fans are feeling so desperate to the club. Even there were some fans are starting to surrounding PochOUT on twitter. People were getting excited after chelsea destroyed preston with 4 goals. Yet they were getting disappointed result like this which is hurting their fans.

Yes, I think I could be wrong. Chelsea really lost that match. And a lot of people obviously wanted Chelsea to win that much. But they were unable to do so. At this point, I do not know what to expect from Chelsea, to be honest. The Preston match was easy for Chelsea. And we did not think that Chelsea was going to lose the match after that. I agree Middlesbrough is not a very hard opponent. But that does not seem to be the case for Chelsea

I can't really say that coz this team is very dynamic as it was always getting change anytime. The result against fulham was crap and it's not the best from chelsea coz many opportunities wasted for nothing. Things are starting to turn around for chelsea slowly but surely.
Antony taylor was a disaster for any of chelsea game but he was a bit better since he gave chelsea penalty which was helping the club to take the advantage of winning the game against fulham. This must be noted that if chelsea was doing very hard thing to win the game but it can do it.
Glad to see that chelsea was making it happen and im sure that if it can climb up again till the end of season or at least quaified for the europa league soon. It is undeniable that Chelsea's performance was disappointing, as they created numerous scoring opportunities but failed to convert any of them into goals. This is the main problem owned by chelsea and the club needs to have a good striker as soon as possible. Someone like osimhen would help chelsea to do one tap. Chelsea needs to get a new striker asap.

Aston villa has very big chance to make it happen. The club can make the gap to be even bigger as long as emery's squad will able to farm three points consistently from other clubs in EPL. Again and again inconsistency becomes the main opponent from aston villa.
Sometimes, this club peforms so well but as you can see that how it was losing against other club in the previous game. Emery needs to push his club to play even better than before. This to make sure aston can secure one of UCL ticket at the end of season.
It will be also adding more income for aston villa to play in UCL next season. Im thinking emery was not putting EPL trophy as the main target. Competing against city and liverpool are very hard task to be done by the club.
In fact, aston villa is not having ambition to talk about the title race which mean it has lower target like UCL spot. We have valued UCL spot as a trophy caused by it will be also able giving the club participate on it a lot of additional income.
It will be very useful for aston villa to play there and i hope emery's squad can make it happen soon.

Aston Villa in the last 1year have been the highest point takers in the EPL. They've been exceptional at their games, winning almost always and ensuring that they stay at the top chart. No one saw them coming and they've been able to be consistent, keeping home win records this season and they've not failed to cause troubles for teams. They really need to stay that way and maintain their consistency to keep their hopes of qualifying for the UCL alive.

 They've got the capacity to remain on top but I really don't think City who's now below them would let them stay there, so if at all there'd be a change in the standings, then Villa won't go below the 6th position. They're so good to even try qualifying for the UEL next season. As competitive as the EPL has been this year, so far Villa have proven to be strong enough to fight back threats and create value and confidence in the team too.

Aston villa was a trouble for all of big clubs in EPL. This club was consistently to perform even better. Im only wondering what recipe owned by emery to push this club from nothing to something. It's hard for villa to go back at the bottom again but nothing is impossible in the football.
Chelsea is always climbing up and it's time for aston villa to play in the UCL next season. I can't really sure aston can enter into the title race but winning one spot to go to the UCL is far better than getting nothing. Aston villa can still prove it.

The club needs only to consistent in getting three points till the end of the season. We are still in the mid season and yeah you know that if emery will have easy jobs in the upcoming matches. The club has been destroying some big clubs and villa got much applauses from the fans.
I have heard that emery is trying to recruit the new player for villa. Being qualified for the UCL next season will far better rather than having big expectation to get EPL. Emery can get additional income from UCL next season.

@FinePoine0 Chelsea fought a lot for those 3 points and in the end what really matters is that they got it and with this win it’ll uplift their mood and even Poch will be relieved because he knows his job is now under scrutiny. Furthermore whenever I have felt that Chelsea can improve and change their game they have disappointed me this season hence I’m not going to raise my hopes on them unless they start to consistently perform.

Fulham, who played with an attacking approach, was basically able to pose a threat to Chelsea's defense. But because of their lack of good finishing and the good way Chelsea defended, Chelsea was able to maintain a 1-0 lead until the match ended.

I didn't see Chelsea playing at their best, but they appeared to be full of pressure even though Fulham were far behind them. This is Fulham's 4th defeat in their last 5 matches in the Premier League, and this is Chelsea's 3rd win in a row in their last 5 matches in the Premier League. Pochettino has managed to make several changes for Chelsea in his last few matches, but it is true that Chelsea are still not ready to compete at the top this season.

Yes, it is not easy for Chelsea to win the match against Fulham because Fulham is able to provide resistance that makes things difficult for Chelsea and Fulham is also not a weak club. It is one of the average clubs but sometimes it can appear impressive and make it difficult for big clubs, but unfortunately the strategy that Fulham implements is not able to make Chelsea give up even though Chelsea looked depressed, but in the end Chelsea managed to emerge victorious and beat Fulham with an unexpectedly narrow score.

Manchester City have changed their game at present and they have started to compete to occupy the top position in the Premier League. Manchester United had a great win against Newcastle United in the last match and they moved to the second position in the points table. However, this game was really exciting and the two teams fought hard, although Newcastle United took the lead in the first half. Newcastle led 2-1 before half-time and Man City came back to level the game in the 74th minute with a brilliant attack. However, later in the extra time, Manchester City started to attack more, due to which they went ahead after 90 + 1 minutes and stuck the ball in Newcastle's goal net. And in the last minute they left the field with the win even though the game was held at Newcastle's ground but unfortunately they could not win against Man City. However, as Liverpool are currently in the best position in the Premier League, I think Manchester City can compete with Liverpool in the next few matches if they perform well.

It was a tough game with Chelsea because, there is no change in their game that made Fulham to followed them up till second half that gave Chelsea opportunity to secured the winning goal from the game to achieve the 3 points from the game.

Fulham would have draw the game assume they use their opportunity well in the first half because, there was Chances for their strikers to score goals but they missed use them that made their coach to make some changes in the second half, if they will be able to equalized the goal but it was too late for Fulham players to equalize.

True but if you are aware if fulham has mad more goal attempts compared to the chelsea. These clubs are equal but chelsea was lucky enough to get a penalty from taylor. People were so crazy in calling him as a garbage coach caused by taylor was alwasy hating chelsea.

And talking about Chelsea's chances of breaking into the top 4 I think it is a miracle and mission impossible to do with their performance this season. Chelsea is able to win matches against several teams above it but I think the top 4 teams are currently very strong for Chelsea to beat. I think the most realistic possibility is to qualify for the European League group stages but that also seems very difficult.

However, I saw the way Chelsea controlled the game from start to finish, making me think Chelsea experienced a change in the game, which Poch needed to improve on the front lines because he was less effective in getting opportunities. This time Chelsea was lucky to win through a penalty. Statistically, the match was actually a draw. There was only a total of 6 kicks on goal created by both teams.
Due to this result, Chelsea is ranked 8th with the same points as Man United. However, overall Chelsea's game was very bad, they did not show collective play between the lines.

You reminded me of Rashford's horrible performance, thank you.    I just don't understand this guy either. In the recent 3 seasons of the Premier League he has been totally inconsistent:

2021/22 season => 4 goals in 25 matches
2022/23 season => 17 goals in 35 matches
2023/24 season => 3 goals in 19 matches

He is still valued at 70 million euros but he hasn't been able to increase his market value since December 2021.    I remember PSG were after him in the past and I wonder if they still are interested.

Middlesbourg will be playing at stamford bridge for the second leg. Chelsea is still having a chance as long as it will be playing fully offensive since the first minute. He made the decision to move someone who is proficient in playing as a center back to the left back position and shifted the right winger to the striker role. This is very bad for chelsea. The club needs to put the players to play on their best position and this will build their confidence.
Pochettino sucks. He never tries to understand the best position for his players. Putting colwill as a left back which is a terrible decision. It was really unacceptable thing for all of chelsea fans.

That's the reason I always say in other threads that Pochettino is not an experienced coach and for me he lacks intelligence in managing Chelsea players and what surprises me is that there are still people who believe that Pochettino is able to bring Chelsea to great achievements in the premier league and is able to improve Chelsea's performance while Pochettino doesn't understand how to manage the players that Chelsea currently has, changing player positions inconsequentially 
It's a little ridiculous to see how Pochettino reshuffles Chelsea players but doesn't understand the actual position of the players and I'm very sure that Pochettino won't last long as coach and if Chelsea management still retains him, perhaps this will be a big question mark as to why management retains such a coach. clearly doesn't have the intelligence to manage a club.

It looks like luck because they only won by a narrow score and the goal was scored via a penalty kick after a Fulham player fouled one of Chelsea's players, but actually Chelsea continued to appear to put pressure on the away team but unfortunately, their chances were not able to penetrate Fulham's defense, even their opponents several times made quite good attacks and threatening their goal.
Chelsea was quite grateful because Cole Palmer managed to calmly execute the penalty kick because if he had failed, Chelsea would have gotten another bad result. In the final minutes, they managed to maintain their defense which continued to receive attacks from Fulham who were trying to get 1 point by doing so to equalize the score.
Chelsea's performance was ordinary even though this was their third win in a row and with a performance like that they would still probably lose to any team because their game development was not very good.

True and i was always aware if pochettino keeps repeating the same mistake even since his first match with chelsea. There were so numerous mistakes repeated by him in any games of chelsea. The biggest mistake is wrongly making the bad decision making in the player substitution.
That is also hurting the club a lot caused by wrongly put the players in will be costing the club full points. I was seeing how chelsea fans are so tired in reminding him to fix his decision making for the club.

Pochettino's in game management is absolutely criminal and i can give you the best example, ben chillwel played as left back but pochettino puts him as left winger then levy collwill who played as centre back then pochettino was also putting him as left back.
This is another disaster for chelsea to have a coach who doesn't ahve good decision making combined with good in game management.

Pochettino won in the last match but it was not erasing his bad reputation as a coach with the worst in game management. Im so tired watching chelsea played like shit. Pochettino lets himself down with his worst in game management.

The guy has just started to improve his game in the Premier League also finally.    He scored a goal and made an assist in the game so far which plays a big role in Manchester United's staying ahead by 2-1. But honestly I think that Tottenham have performed better generally so Manchester United had better look for increasing the goal difference. 

By the way I know Hojlund is still only 20 years old. But when we see a Haaland example in the same league too the expectations get higher quickly. 

In the end Hojlund has been transferred by Manchester United with big hopes by believing in his high talent. He should be able to be as effective as he was in the Champions League.

Aston Villa missed a big chance to hold a good lead over their rivals but playing out a no Goal draw to Everton today, I think this wasn't an easy match but I still expected Aston Villa to beat Everton seeing how both teams has played this season I had my money on Everton to win but this is football, now this gives Manchester city and Arsenal a bigger push to take advantage of this slip up.

I think Aston Villa major issue this period would be consistency, they have been good so far this season but they still have to make it to the finish line in the same manner.
