I was lazy last week due to my lack of discipline. Did 55 modified pushups today but I feel out of shape now. Hope I will get back to routine soon. Thanks to this group to keep me motivated I'm back on right track.

I think that part of the reason that several of us are afraid to skip days is that we realize that when we take breaks from our daily pushups (and maybe even cutting down within the day's pushups), it might end up contributing towards the pushups feeling more difficult rather than easier.

So there can be some questions about the value of taking breaks from daily pushups.

If there is joint pain yeah rest up.

Muscle pain back off a bit.

When I hurt my big toe simply walking down the stairs while reading my cell phone (respect the stairs you use people)

It took 90-100 days to pretty much fully heal and do the pushups.

they are still modded at an easy angle to take stress off the toe i hurt last june and the hernia I had repaired last year.

I have been doing pushups since past times, but back then the number of pushups was higher than the price of bitcoin. I was able to do 76 pushups when Bitcoin was $61,000. But now the price of bitcoin has started to increase so fast in the current time that I compare the price of bitcoin with little difference to be equal, and I put a lot of stress on my body.
Of course I currently manage to do 79 push ups this morning, but the price of Bitcoin has touched $81k. And I put a lot of stress on my body and I'll be able to do 100 pushups before the 100kprice of Bitcoin touches.

I completely agreed with you on this I mean it is justifiable and I have been experiencing that often times which has lead me concluding that it is more preferable to do fewer pushups instead of completely not doing it, the spacing is more implying for example that when you leave pushups for two two days, pushups will leave you for one day even though there is nothing absolutely having some rest but when we overly do it you will be struggling to even get some where close to your previous number of pushups at a straight. Bitcoin hitting $100k pretty seems to be very closer which means a lot to this thread.

Bitcoin is currently at $79,788, an all-time high.But one thing I want to know here is that this challenge should continue atleast 100 push up contest every day until the bitcoin is 100k dollars? Or will this race continue even after reaching 100k bitcoins?

I thing that I had too long pause, I believe I should not make breaks more then day or two. That way it would be easier to re-start. And even those day or two should be exeption.

Today I did 37 pushups (20 + 17) in the morning and plan to do at least 30 in the evening. I felt a little bit sore today, and PU were going little easier then yesterday. I believe that would be much easier to come back if I would do at least 10 PU/day on pause days.

There are differing kinds of joint pain, and some of the joint pain is just part of the process of building and getting used to new kinds of exercise and new kinds of stresses on the body from new kinds of activities. 

If the joint pain is not persistent, then you may well be able to work through it, and you might even be able to work through the joint pain, even if it is persistent. It seems that I had shoulder joint pain for a couple of months and sometimes it was worse than other times, but it seemed like it was persistent, yet I never considered my ongoing shoulder pains to be injurious rather than just part of the ongoing and every day strain of doing pushups and likely the joints becoming stronger through the whole process.  sometimes maybe I would adjust my arm position or make some other adjustment to accommodate an attempt to make the joint pain to feel less painful.

Through my 281 days of doing pushups, I have had various kinds of joint pains in various parts of my body from time to time, and most of them did not last very long, and surely even some of the joint pains are kind of ever present and then sometimes they come back from time to time, yet for me, so far I have not had any of them really devolve into any seeming lasting injury levels, and sometimes there can be ways to exercise through injuries and difficulties to determine if it is an injury or not, so yeah, I suppose that my toe injury was feeling quite painful for several days and might have even lingered for more than a week, perhaps even close to two weeks and sometimes even coming back from time to time, so yeah that was likely an injury and even involving a joint.  Largely, I have exercised through whatever pains have come and gone, and at this time it is mostly not even much of an issue, so our body heals itself and we can make little adjustments to attempt to help the healing process and not to make it worse, but we might not need to stop doing our daily pushups in order to accomplish our goals to make our bodies stronger through this whole process or whatever other goals that we might have, including that some of our goals might just have to do with doing pushups every day no matter what, whether we adjust the quantity or the style of pushup or not, which also could amount to a kind of rest if we just adjust the quantity or the difficulty.

There are not very many of us who are doing all of our daily pushups in one set.  I personally aim for anywhere between 3 and 25 sets .. hahahhahaha.. mostly doing 5 sets per day, and I have never actually done more than 15 sets in a day, so the higher number of sets, so far, is just aspirational based on anticipated future BTC price levels.

Regarding your pushup report, apparently you are not wanting to get put into the pushups table, since if you put your results into a proper pushup report, then your name and your results would get included into the thread's pushup table, which truly is optional for you whether to have your name and results included to add to our total quantity of participants, which truly it would be nice to get our quantity of participants at or above 100 on or before the BTC price reaches $100k.  I am not sure if getting to 100 participants would help for the BTC price to get to $100k faster or not.. It couldn't hurt, could it?

Prior to June, I had gotten my average pushups per day up to 200, and at that point I had decided to purposefully reduce my daily pushups in order to slowly bring my average number of pushups per day down to around 150-ish, yet after several weeks of doing reduced daily pushups, I started to feel that doing pushups were getting more difficult for me, and I am not sure if it was physical, psychological or both, and so starting in about mid-July I resumed pushing for higher levels of pushups and trying to make sure that mostly I get in 5 sets per day, which yeah, it is not always easy to do 5 sets of pushups per day, yet I think that I have myself in a decently good spot to help me to prepare for doing increased pushups when the BTC price touches upon $85k (if it does) and when the BTC price touches upon $100k (if it does)....  Let's see what happens to our pushup routines once the BTC price reaches $100k (if it does), and it might be difficult to keep doing so many pushups and so much on a regular basis absence some consensus on a potentially new price target (or time target), and I am not sure how strong will be the possibility to reach another pushups consensus upon our reaching $100k.. Let's see what happens.

So there can be some questions about the value of taking breaks from daily pushups.
I thing that I had too long pause, I believe I should not make breaks more then day or two. That way it would be easier to re-start. And even those day or two should be exeption.

Today I did 37 pushups (20 + 17) in the morning and plan to do at least 30 in the evening. I felt a little bit sore today, and PU were going little easier then yesterday. I believe that would be much easier to come back if I would do at least 10 PU/day on pause days.

I have had so many days that I did not want to do any pushups, and I forced myself to do them even when I don't want to.  I am not sure if it is a psychological thing completely, but I have a sense that if I let myself take breaks, then there will be no stopping me from taking way more breaks than I want to do. I have had similar experiences in life with certain kinds of things I have to do every day, otherwise I will lose the streak and I will lose the psychological edge that comes from "keeping the streak."

JayJuanGee I agree, maintaining a streak gives great psychological advantage, confidence and what is the best after some time it becomes a habit. On the other side "taking it easy" and relaxing too much comes with a price and with time it turns onto lazyness.

One thing that can break out of vicious cycle of lazyness is when you have group of guys like in this group that help you by pushing you in the right direction. Thanks guys!

Oh my God! This is hilarious! 100 push-ups everyday till Bitcoin hits $100,000! It's a Wow challenge, and I think am greatly interested and involved. How come am just seen this challenge thread now? Oh, am just a newbie who joined this forum few months ago. Yea.

Push-ups? My favourite. I remember those good days when I did 50 at once × how many times i would repeat it for that same day, before it begins to reduce due to weakness. But now, times have changed. Working here and there, strength faded.

But then, I love the challenge, for Bitcoin, for strength, for fitness, for health. Yea. Health they say, is wealth. While we await Bitcoin to hit $the estimated, we get stronger and stay fit. @ OP, thanks for making this challenge thread visible. I hit from tomorrow morning, maybe 20×5 every morning, at least, to awaken the bones.

Challenge has gotten even more interesting than before because we're getting to that amount that we have been waiting for a long time. Many members on this Forum have been saying the reason why Bitcoin has been going extremely high is because Trump won the election but I don't and can't say I believe that even if he loves and support Bitcoin I don't think he has anything to do with what's happening to the price of Bitcoin. If that is true then can we say another reason for the raise of Bitcoin price is because of this very challenge we're having here? 100 push till till Bitcoin gets to $100k?
