Next campaign is around the corner and with this display against Juventus even if they are very poor I think this City side will dominate their next opponent just as they did to Juventus tonight. Waoo this is a good game Manchester City is getting back to form gradually because I didn't expect that Manchester City will score up to four goals against a team like Juventus this is a sign of good things to come i think that Juventus really has a long way to go in terms of strengthening their team because with what I saw them performing today they really lack quality

This is indeed an interesting display in football, in fact, this is one of the toughest game I thought will be hard to predict because Juventus is also a big team in the Serie A while Manchester City is one of the best teams in the Premier League. But this match showed how well prepared Manchester City for the Premier League this season, and it means that Juventus also need to sign more players because they have tested themselves against big team tonight.

5-2 is a big margin for Juventus, at least 2-1 or 3-2 should have been more respectful as a big team.

Nevertheless, both of them qualified to the knockout stage which is very important for them both, they need to put more effort in the next games because this stage is very difficult and only the better teams will advance to the quarterfinals.

I think I have to say City are back big time with that high spirit of dominance against their opponent. From what you said you're correct, Juventus never showed that sign of taking the battle to City, instead they relax while City does all the playing and it was as if Juventus are more concerned about their next opponent and not this game but where it will be annoying is when they play the same way they did against Manchester City in their next game because to the coach he is resting players ahead of the next game in the round of 16 which is important to them, so I expect something more serious than what we saw in their next game.
City are known for setting records and breaking them so this is one of the best and we know that both teams hardly meet even in the champions league and this tournament is just the perfect place to humiliate the Old Ladies. From my observation, I feel the Juventus side need to get some quality players especially defenders because what they have are guys who struggle to play football.

I only hope that Juventus does better when league games start because this performance is making me doubt if they are going to be able  to do any better when the league games begin,  I am also hoping their confidence is intact and their foem remains good enough  to help them through the new season after the club World Cup. Their performance so far has not been impressive enough except they are going to improve moving forward.  Manchester City so far has been doing so well even with other teams in this tournament,  maybe  they want to make up for the poor season they had in the just concluded season. I also didn't watch the live, but we can easily conclude the match by seeing the stats. It was totally Man City dominating the match, Juventus was like a mediocre team only. Scoring 5 goals wasn't so surprise because they made 24 shots, 11 shots on target. I even think Man City should make more goals, probably 7-8 goals if they have a more accurate accuracy in the match. TBH, the ball possession was something that makes me a bit surprised (Man City 77%, Juventus 23%). Sure, it indicated the defense line and midfield line of Juventus must be improved massively. The attacking line looks better than those lines.

Don't put your hopes on man city because they're just coming from a season of poor performance back to back and I won't be surprised to see them get knockout of the competition in any of the next two phases of the competition (Round of 16 or Quarter finals). Chelsea also has an easier route too and they won't be facing any threat until maybe like in the semis but this doesn't guarantee them winning the tournament. The teams that gets the easiest opponents aren't always the favourite to win but those that got to face tougher opponents because it makes them prepare more better for the competition.

In this tournament Manchester City are a total different team compared to what we saw this season, the effect of the money spent is already showing with the new players showing glimpse of what they can offer to the club before the start of next season. Personally I wasn’t expecting Juventus to have it easy in this game but this score line is embarrassing and shouldn’t be like that considering how good they also have been performing in the tournament, they hadn’t conceded before until today. I think the own goal by Kalulu was what gave juventus away right from the first half.

The real Manchester City is returning to their former glory. There were days when Manchester City were the most feared club in the world of football. I can see that Manchester City are back in full strength as they have sent a warning message by destroying Juventus tonight. I can that Manchester City are now ready to win the club world cup and would crush any club that comes their way in this round of 16. Manchester City have made the EPL proud and would continue to be victorious until the very end. Juventus are a shadow of their past to be honest we all can see that but I doubt they have fallen like Manchester United. They could bounce back sooner or later but Manchester United is still under lower probability after being a shadow of themselves for over a decade now.

Juventus will not be able to recover in this game based on the level of performance. The match was of critical importance for the group leadership as both teams had secured their place in the last 16 round. While Manchester City opened the gap with their effective attacking play, Juventus, despite showing resistance especially in the first half, could not turn the match around due to the problems they had in defense.

So, Juventus defense could not find a solution to Manchester City's attacks, even though they showed some resistance. Manchester City was prepared, they won games with ease of mind, they're on streak winnings in the club world cup and have been the very favorite team to win this tournament. Although there are presence of other rivals but who cares? Only the best will come out. Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola is a manager that wouldn't want to settle for lesser outcome, he would always set his mindset and that of his players on streak winnings. Madrid would be taking on Salzburg in their last group game and this game would determine who's finishing as group leaders, you'd agree with me that Salzburg have been doing pretty well in this very competition and as for Madrid, they haven't had that speed when it comes to this competition and they have been poor. Looks like since last season is the game against Pachuca that we saw them play like the Madrid we ones knew, with a one man down they still came out with that fighting spirit to get not just 3pt but also 3 goals, the question is can they repeat same thing or something much better against Salzburg?
