Whilst I get the idea of selling only 4m NLG, if you were to put up 6m at 113 SAT each, you're a LOT closer to the current market price, and you'll get your BTC in no time.
I would worry about how many will want to spend out BTC that much over the going market rate - even though it's for the greater good.
^^ this would be better

Agree. 70%-80% mark up is a tough sell. At 113 satoshi you'll raise the BTC quick. If we do 600 packages of 10.000 NLG each package, I'll purchase the first 100 packages today and you can give a down payment to the developer to get him going. I'll keep it in cold storage until the Eurocup betting starts up in 2016 on nlgcup.com. Will post the guldencoin address once received if anyone wants to track it, it's not going anywhere.

I don't agree. This is a fair price with a responsible amount of the pre-mine sold. Why sell more of the pre-mine when you can do it like this and keep a lot left for future projects. 2 million pre-mine with a rising price will surely get us even more exposure and possibilties than if we spend 6 million now to get the same result we can with 4 million. We've had a rate of 179 satoshi for a short time before on Bittrex and Bleutrade and that was without all these merchants we have now or even an iOS wallet to talk about. A 113 or even 130 satoshi does not a logical 'IPO' make. For 0.017BTC you get 10.000 NLG to fund a project that will have so much impact, I don't see why we would change the price of this funding project. And a hefty profit can surely be made.

I do agree there will be profits to be made, damn this coin should already be trading above 170 as it is but it seems people haven't woken up to the coin yet. My suggestion is, do 2 IPOs. 1 Cheaper one to get the deposit arranged quickly so your dev can start. Then for 2nd IPO you have a lot of time to raise capital before the dev completes the work. Price of NLG also might go up then, as people start pumping the price in anticipation for first wallet. Those that dig into there pockets now should be rewarded.

I think it's important to understand that the goal is not to sell the developer premine. The goal is to gather funds so we can pay this iOS developer to create an awesome iOS wallet. I for one would be most happy if we as a community could raise this money without having to sell any coins from the dev premine at all. The goal is an iOS wallet. If you want to buy coins: they're cheaper at bittrex.
Having said that, I do agree with this method to get funds in exchange for NLG as it might be more effective and fast. It's just that I would just be more happy if we could all donate (crowd funding) so we keep more dev premine coins in stash and use them at a later stage.
If you wish to donate BTC or EUR, please contact us per mail or post here on the forum.

Is there some kind of 'mission statement' for the purpose of the pre-mined NLG? I understand some portion of the 170,000,000 NLG is dedicated to distribution to dutch citizens, are there any other details? When I saw the post this morning I thought to myself 'what a great use of the pre-mine!'. Respectfully --Mark

Now, I am lost. So, what is happening now ? The first idea with the 400 packages at 170 sat is great ! Is it still actual ?

I'm am willing to donate in BTC, EUR or NLG but it's not a huge amount something like 50 Euro also would buy at 170 Sat if you prefer. But I don't know how many people would buy above market price even though it's for a good cause. Most people at sometime want ROI. It would be a very cool use of the dev premine .

What GJ means that it's always possible to donate and that the goal is an iOS wallet, not just selling development premine. Tomorrow we will start taking payments and the good news is that we've already received some requests through the website. Okay, thanks for the info ! ...Great news ! And, again, amazing job

Please confirm what the final plan for the IPO is, this does mean I won't be buying on the exchanges for the next month as I will be contributing to the iOS wallet. So expect volumes to die out while everyone is giving funds towards this.

400 packages of 10.000 Guldencoin will be sold at 0.017 BTC per package. The original plan as stated here: https://guldencoin.com/guldencoin-ios-community-funding

One more question before I contribute.
In the event your dev fails to deliver, can we return the NLG for our BTC back and will the dev give the deposit back in this case?

Good question! I know this sounds Cliche and it is but failure is not really a option here. This will be the devs fulltime project for the next 4-6 weeks and along with the team devs and designers they will be working closely together. So this is the devs paycheck for the month. I also personally tried looking for a iOS dev and trust me they are extremely busy these days so we are lucky enough to have a very skilled one that loves cryptos and wants to be involved in making this a success and history for being the first standalone scrypt wallet. In the slight chance the project doesn't succeed we won't let the community down and people will be compensated with difference in market related NLG. Just to add since this is a community funded project , the team will keep us informed every step of the way with the progress, it won't be like the other projects where we surprise you. We understand total transparency is needed in the development phase of this iOS wallet.

I 'll contribute for 130.000 NLG. So 13 packages.
Is the IOS dev not willing to take a part of the payment in NLG? That would be much quicker.
