I actually can't believe the current price atm of this amazing coin, if it goes under 50 I am buying up a lot.
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I notice something other POW coins are doing now is to get the community together and set a price to stabilize it while ASICs continue to tear them a new asshole.
It might be something NLG should do , to have +- 5 btc at value of 10 sat , that would be 50 000 million worth of buy orders so it can only go up from there, I have seen this coin price is being purposely pushed down to the gutter as one seller is just selling just above buy price and causing panic where rest of the orders is over 100.

I can put 1 btc towards it.

One thing we have to accept is scrypt ASICS are not cheap and people need to ROI or try too, scrypt ASICs are being used to mine scrypt coins and dump on them to buy or support other coins. It's a extremely dangerous period for POW coins in general as GPU miners leave the scene because it becomes unprofitable and then you only have a handful of ASICs mining your coin with one intention.

NLG is doing well, other scrypt coins are getting forked, dumped to death and never recover. I do agree with that a algorithm change is not the best option but lets hope we don't get to Noblecoins and digibyte situation where they are now forced to make the change.

With the above being said I am confident this coin has a bright future ahead in the medium to long term and maybe a decoupling from btc eventually might be a good thing so NLG can have it's own value against the Euro instead of btc valuation, but this can easily happen as the adoption of NLG increases!

Maybe blockvalue halving to 500 sooner and/or less coins being generated in total?

I don't see how current price can stay this low for much longer especially with what NLG has going for it already, don't panic sell , is it going to going to kill you if the price dips some more?
The worst feeling in the world is selling low and then seeing the coins price rise and you know you have been price punked.

WaterLooDown: some things less related to marketing/acceptance:

Documentation: docs.guldencoin.com
Seeds overview: seeds.guldencoin.com
Seeds are still being migrated/added over three different top-level domains and three different hosts to increase network stability and safety.
These migrations are slow on purpose, so the network isn't interrupted too much.

I am in the process of doing a test and will be able to confirm by tomorrow if NLG needs a algorithm change to see if wildwest is right.

Another coin switching to POS after constant beating of ASICs is having on the market.

I don't think that changing algorithm matters that much in a coin which can in fact be used... people dumping the coins cheap can be actually a good thing because more people will buy them.

Also, Android wallet will most probably not work.. and I believe this is one of the big assets on NLG...

The Android Guldencoin wallet is a beauty, compliments for that.
However, it does take a very long time (20 hours +) to sync when you start using it the first time.
It would be better to mention this in the main screen. Novice users not aware of blockchains etc. might back away from the wallet if they are not properly informed the wallet needs to sync for a long time when first used.

That should be corrected with newer checkpoints of the blockchain... but it correct that right now it is not ideal for new users.
