I strongly advice a visual graph of the supply of GLD against "theoretical" Dutch adoption in the OP
So, what is holding you back to create such graph? BTW, it's NLG, not GLD. I'm not the dev behind this coin... I'm just suggesting! Take it or leave it. But trust me the Dutch people won't buy a coin just because it is called Gulden! The Dev need a story to tell and the story of having 1.7b coins without a theory behind and 100 gulden for Dutch Mobile owner is flawed. Unless you get Dutch Telecom to sponsor it That is only my view. I think this community is interesting so I'm pointing out ideas to hopefully make it better Again take it or leave it! I now own 5k Gulden that is how I will support this coin and it's community. If I see this coin going to the right direction I will buy more Good luck to all Behind every riddle lies a great story my friend..... 31 days to go....

One thing that I'd like to see improved is the official Guldencoin website. Not only the visual but its functionality as well. With proper menus / sub-menu bars on top with all the important stuff. I know it's nothing major but it should be something to think about in the future.

I think you are right. The main guldencoin.com website is not so appealing for new potential users and businesses. Would be great when a experienced website developer will take some time to improve the site as it belongs in to be in the year 2015

As with 99% of all websites, go back to the home page by clicking on the site's logo in the left-top corner.. And I'm not sure if and how an "X factor" is defined in the webdesign world..

I'm fine with the current design. Back button? My browser has that, so that a website doesn't need it. X-factor, don't need it. I want to find the information I need, not some fancy X-factor that keeps getting in my way.

I agree with you GJ on the clean and profi look, that is good for merchants and users to visit. Clean and trustfull profi looks! I think maybe it is good idea to split usersinfo and merchantsinfo after a start/welcomepage to both? So users can choose their info needed and merchants theirs without being mixed up. But that are just some thoughts.

Jokes aside though, if people think the official website is not good enough then build your own one for Guldencoin that will suit your tastes. It's a freemarket this and the dev team don't rule over Guldencoin, the currency is for everyone. It's also a golden opportunity to get services setup for Guldencoin before venture capitalists come in with major services. Build Build Build is what I say and my personal moto is build something you would use because there is a good chance others will use it too. On that note another tier 1 project "might" be ready this week.

Hi all,
Work on the simulator is progressing great. The initial version I made used "fake" difficulty values, it worked, but I found that it wasn't accurate enough. So I've redone a lot of the code, and it's now using real/exact difficulty values: 256-bit unsigned integers, in the same way the satoshi client calculates difficulty. This makes everything a bit more complicated, but will produce 100% accurate results.
The first releases of the simulator will be binary releases with a limited featureset, it will do default difficulty (bitcoin) and DGW3 and it will have one simulation: small hashrate waves. Updates will include 'large hashrate waves' and 'jump pool' simulations, and ofcourse the first version of our custom made difficulty re-adjustment algorithm.
At one point the sources will be made available under an open-source license to everyone. If anyone is interested in helping out, please contact me. It's required to have some experience in Go (golang.org).
Cheers!
Thanks for the update /GeertJohan. This is what I was trying to explain to people when working on a project so complex in nature that there will be hurdles to overcome but the end result will be extremely rewarding. How much has the experience taught you personally about how the underlying technical side of the blockchain? I am sure at the end of this you will come out a lot stronger in knowledge of how things work which will make you a top 10 crypto developer imho.

It is good for now as it is, great job done! @Rijk: stay very proud of it. I only made a suggestion on the info for users and the info for merchants. Maybe split it after a welcomepage for both. But it is not that important though and a lot of work, I think. Let's concentrate in discussions on the projects to come and the algo. Exciting times to come

If you're familiar with building websites you're also familiar with the fact that a website is never finished, especially when it's a website that has to convert. Checking stats, follow the visitors flows on the site, change colors, test new structures, doing split-tests. The slightest site changes can bring better results, usability and SEO wise. Most web designers aren't website analysts. Besides that it's strange to say that NLG is for everyone but you give the advise to create an own NLG website when they don't like the current Guldencoin homepage. Never ignore tips and suggestions coming from the community. Only the webmaster of Guldencoin.com can say if the current site is fully optimized or not. I hope it is, with all the upcoming projects and publicity.

Information-wise there is always something to gain. Sure, we can keep improving that together. Design doesn't need any adjustment in my opinion though.
