I want to make a fair warning. Yesterday(?) Opal did a wallet upgrade because of some issues. However, some guy from the btctalk forum quoted the original wallet update post, changed the links, and posted the comment "Don't forget to update guys!". Some of you will probably already know what happened after: around $20k got stolen from personal computers due to inserted malware.. I'm making this warning because we'll probably get new wallets after the algorithm change. Make sure to only download this wallet from official sources such as the original post or the guldencoin website. Don't make the mistake to download an infected wallet. Look at what's happening at Opal, a roll back is being considered.. I wouldn't want to get into this trouble with guldencoin Icebear Good tip. I will announce this @GuldencoinWeb when the announcement is there. Other websites should do the same, hope they will...

Best thing to do is have devs post the MD5 checksum of the files they release when they do updates, so you can compare their hash with yours. This way you know that you are getting the exact files the devs put out and not an altered version. IMO, this should be standard for all coin releases, but it is often left out. -Fuse

I dont trust a website that is posted two times on different threads with "i would be carefull associating with that website" Also the .org and the #p are to many red flags/signals.

I saw it on another thread and the website p2pwallet.cc is on there so I posted it here and DGB as I saw a couple people mention the same site on both threads the #p is taking you to the p section isn't it??

I think you're a bit paranoid. #p is just the anchor link within the text, and it's just an authority and respected site in this area (thousands of visitors per day). No red flags at all.

That was a reply to 24hralttrade. Please don't remove the warning about p2pwallet, it's legit.

Yeah I realised that, but I deleted the original message but still want the warning about the site to be up <edit> and 24hralttrading has a good reason to be a bit paranoid, digital currencies seem to be scam central at the moment, so everyone do your due diligence before handing control of your coins to someone else

Ok sorry maybe a little to overreacted, I just woke up and saw this quoted on 2 threads and the website name is not very easy to thrust in the morning . My bad Just want to warn people.
