Thanks. Our designer works really hard to get it pixel perfect. All credit goes to him.

Out of curiosity, what is Storj doing for their network/storage infrastructure? I work for an IT Infrastructure Provider out of NYC called Myriad Supply - we work with many of the top hosting companies. Any idea who handles the infrastructure for Storj?

Ok lets say one connects a 150TB storage server on a 10gbit line to the Storj network, can one make money selling all this storage space? Is that the plan? have people sell storage capacity to the network?
edit: read the whitepaper, its rather short
Whats to stop a "node" from deleting all the files on it after it gets paid? how exactly does one do a "proof of existence of file(s)"

Last time I ran the numbers it was around $8k per 1Gbit at market prices. Dropbox charges $1 per GB per year, so you can do the math on that one. We have a pretty awesome team. They are actually implementing it faster than I can write about it, so I just started spending my time working with them then writing papers. We are just about done with our top level prototype application. After that is done, I'll spend some days writing up a new whitepaper that dives into some of the meaty technical details.

Storj handles itself. Its autonomous. Simply anyone who runs the software on their hardware. Storj probably will need some large hosting companies to jump in to provide the early nodes. Simple because we expect a decent bit of demand, and we want the network to keep up.

I just learned about this project now and I am very impressed. Nice work Super3.
Hopefully I can transition to Storj before my 1 year subscription with Dropbox is up!

I can't believe I haven't heard about this project before! I'm reading the Storj paper now and this is exactly what I have been looking for since canceling my Dropbox subscription for obvious reasons.
Now shut up and take my money!

This is a great idea and I'm glad to see people trying to put it into place. Is this a similar idea to BitCloud? It looks like you guys are ahead of them to be honest. I'd be really interested in trying it out (already signed up for the newsletter lol).

We are planning on talking to BitCloud guys this week on ways we can collaborate.

So, when can I start selling my terabytes of space? I'm about to go and buy 49 hard drives which will connect to my 49 port USB hub.
Do I get paid in bitcoin? Can I be anonymous?
