Please vote for Storj Community Director Elections by Jan 14!
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

What will be daily supply of storj?

That will be determined by demand for space on the network as this is not a mineable token.

Is there any kind of documentation?

http://metadisk.org/metadisk.pdf

http://storj.io/storj.pdf

https://github.com/Storj/whitepapers

The DriveShare whitepaper is listed as 'coming soon' on the storj.io website...-thumbsup-

Noob question. In the Metadisk whitepaper, it is stated that copies of data will be stored in three separate locations in line with current industry redundancy standards. In the Storj whitepaper, it is stated data will be broken down into byte multiples such as 8 MB or 32 MB. It is also stated that a "farmer must be able to prove cryptographically that it has the shard, and has not modi fied it in any way." What are the chances of a malicious actor 'damaging' all three shards and destroying the data?

I also noticed that the Storj whitepaper is co-written by Ethereum's Vitalik Buterin. Personal contribution or is Ethereum involved with the project?

The malicious actor would need to given all three redundant copies simultaneously.  This is only likely if there is only 1 drive share farmer

Opal is building on top of storj a private cloud-storage enviroment.

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied

Storj hasn't been public released, how to build on top of storj? I am afraid it is a rumor. Cheesy

Understood. But what is the probability of said actor obtaining all three shards within his own network of farmers? Hypothetically, what if he has 50 unique farmers through 50 NAS+ Drive Share with distinctive IPs? Expanding on this, are the shards distributed geographically? What if those IPs were in the same geographic range?

Counterwallet DEX: https://counterwallet.io/#

Just wanted to clear a newbie-doubt. If I deposit in Counterwallet, where would my balance reflect? XCP or a box for SJCX(like BTC and XPY) will come automatically? Huh Thanks in advance!

A separate balance for SJCX will come up in the same address, next to XCP and BTC.

I cannot find Opal's announcement through his dev post history tho.

That is an example of bad reporting by who published the article. Opal has expressed interest in using Storj but nothing more than that is happening.
We are open to collaborate, I'm sure that when Opal and Storj are closer to public release there will be more collaboration happening. Not the case for the moment.

Why? They are not working on service based on Storj? I can't imagine nothing better.
