Hi, I would like to buy this coin and store it long term. Could you please tell me how to do this? Is there paper wallet (preferred way of storing coins)? Or can you point me to the wallet app? Will that be compatible with the network in the future?

You can use any bitcoin address to receive SJCX, if you want to make a paper wallet for SJCX it's the same process you use to make bitcoin paper wallets.

When you want to spend the coins you just import the address to CounterParty wallet and send it where you want.

New to this coin and want to invest some BTC into it and probably contribute to the network by buying a few TB harddrives.

I was wondering one thing, do you guys really see bitcoin implementing this network sometime in the future?
And also wouldn't Sys coin be a better investment right now and why not?  Roll Eyes

Bitcoin can't even get the blocksize debate solved. I don't think the core devs will be implementing a Storj clone anytime soon.

There is no way that BTC would implement something like this, it is way out of their domain.  Also, like the previous poster said they can't even come up with a solution to the network almost maxing out on transactions per block  Roll Eyes

Syscoin also may be a good investment.  I wouldn't put all your eggs in one basket.  Have a portfolio of cryptos in areas that you like.

So for "storage" sector it would be sjcx, sys and maid.

Smart contracts would be something like ETH, XCP. Rootstock does not have a coin to buy..

Anonymity may be something like XMR and XVC.

Gaming would be perhaps BCY and DASH.

Clearly we just make the blocks bigger. 10 TB blocks anyone?

this is an amazing idea but doesnt it cost actual money per byte?
i mean in the end you have to pay for the bandwidth and storage somehow even if individual users are paying for it...

yes, so it cost X amount of SJCX to rent HD space, and the market will set the price over time as more and more ppl come on board, increasing the demand of SJCX
so if you are renting say 100GB,,, SO theoretically price is 1$/gb/month, you will get payment of 100$ per month in SJCX from the person renting the space from you. im sure price will actually be MUCH cheaper, just theoretical. im just guessing this is how it may work?

that sucks that means the price of storj might fall... Also will the limit of holding xamount to rent space be lowered?

yes, the market will eventually create a fair price, that price was just for theory.
and i doubt SJCX goes down, when more demand is added by users needing it for hard drive space

Any bitcoin address can store SJCX, you can then import the address to https://wallet.counterwallet.io/ to move the coins, if you feel comfortable with it, you can create the address in that wallet.

Today i had a serious problem with one of your community member and as a developer say is a very knonw member of storj project.
To clear something i am very fun of the storj project idea i have write several time to Greek section of this forum about storj but i believe that it has not the anarchist soul of Bitcoin especially the token.
The problem begin when i post an answer to greek bitcointalk forum to a member that ask how can put his profit from eth. I told his about storj project and that i believe in that like technology.
The next day i have this pm in slack channel!! Tongue

8:11 AM hi there, I see you are propagating false information and accusations about the storj project on bitcointalk greek thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1416930.msg14370996#msg14370996. Please abstain from making pronouncements about the storj project when you have not researched the project in depth or know details about the history of this project. If you have nothing but bad things to say about this project I really don´t know why you´re even here, other than trying to make a quick profit

the link from greek discussion is here

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1416930.0

i go to slack storj project channel and i complain about this matter. One developer there was not so friendly and clear get the side of this heuland member. After a while i have and one racist comment from other member of slack in german language about Greeks and open boarders. It seems that expect witch hunting this community is an a Bild readers :p
I will continue follow the storj project because i believe in the use of blockchain systems in cloud storage but i will continue have my point to the token and the not anarchist nature of it.

For the history the blame game from a bad translate in my post Tongue
The greek word "φoβερό" translated for terrible but it means Amazing. Tongue
I say that storj project is amazing and they translate it that storj project is terrible.
The point is that the succeed of the project will not come with witch hunting guys or net hunting.
I will continue follow this project because i like the idea but i will continue have my political view about any altcoin out there and for sure i will never again be part of storj community.
