Semantics. Apple succeeded with the message of 'Simplicity' with their entry to the smart phone world so that your grandmothers and kids in kindergarden can use their iphones and ipads.

Pretty sure the devs just meant it in the way they are packaging PND so it is mainstream friendly, and not necessarily mean "featureless". "There is a need to rethink the current approach to the design and marketing of digital currencies in order to achieve a global mass appeal." This statement from their official announcement is something that I'm sure that anyone tried spreading the crypto gospel around to their friends and family will understand. Crypto at its current state only appeals those that are tech inclined.

We definitely need simplicity if crypto is to go mainstream. The real question is, what is the PND dev team's take on this? Will PND be the one that the mainstream can easily get into? I for one, am waiting patiently for 14 more days to see the results and their take of their design and marketing of digital currencies.

Actually Zhinkk, featureless coins are more complicated, if anything.

Being featureless means that you need to be technically inclined to be able to use it.

I do not know why anyone needs "bells and whistles;" having a coin that is not having troubles makes more since to me. Having extra stuff to make a coin better does not mean anything if the coin keeps forking, keeps getting dumped by devs, or any other thing that brings a coin to a dead halt. The PND devs are trying to avoid those scenarios and developing a coin that can appeal to normal everyday users, those that just want a coin that works. We will all find out August 30th. I myself am getting pretty excited about what the devs bring to the table; will it change the crypto world, that remains to be seen, but I am happy that someone is trying and not just trying to scam others.

You and I have (probably) been active in the crypto world for some time, we understand how cryptocoins work, how they can be used.
Now imagine you having to explain it to your grandmother, or even your parents, then suddenly it becomes a lot more complicated doesn't it?
What we aim for is to have the coin spread far beyond the small cryptoworld into the real everyday world. A magical place where your mother can go to the supermarket and pay for her groceries with our coin.
To be able to achieve that, you have to make it simple and easy to understand.

So I came across something interesting just then when I was checking out the would-be new website for PND!!! I saw a menu header titled ‘Test Homepage 2’ and came across the following page which I’ve screenshotted using a chrome app. Here’s what I got before the page got taken down…

Notes – The video was locked and could not be viewed. All links did not work and just redirected me back to the old website. The page was unavailable couple of minutes later and disappeared from the menu after checking out the links and being directed to the old website. Looks like whoever was working on the homepage made a mistake and accidently made the page that they were working on public before taking it down…
