It would be nice if PPS is back, even at a much higher fee like 5.5% / 6%

PPS always have a special appeal, and DGM user benefits from it as well - higher pool hashrate is the best way to combat variance.

In addition, temporarily cap the withdrawal amount to PPS user if pool reserve is low, this should combat risk of ruins - withdraw of altcoin was disabled / temporarily reduced for ixcoin before.

I really love what this pool has to offer and love to have it goes back to 5+ TH.

There are a variety of ways to cap payments on PPS but they are subject to hopping and have their own issues, which is why things like PPLNS and DGM exist. Smiley If a pool really wants PPS-style, CPPSRB is the system I like most.

I can't see how you could possibly earn more with PPS + 5% fee than with DGM + Bitparking's 1.5% fee + advantages.

However, Freicoin is where my power's at right now, but I'm sure once it crashes & burns, I'll be back within a few days.  The other coins rarely keep my profits higher for more than 3-5 days before Bitparking starts to win again.
Pity Freicoin can't be merge mined, I'd definitely be adding it to the pool.

Is it possible to run a Freicoin (or any other sha256 coin) pool that also merged mines NMC, DVC & IXC? So that Freicoin would be the parent blockchain and NMC, DVC & IXC the auxiliary blockchains.

Yep. To be a primary coin you don't need any blockchain changes - just software to correctly manage the alt coins and store data in the coinbase of the primary chain. Tweaking namecoins merge-mine-proxy can do this.

Better get on that then...  Tongue

Anything you can do to create more interest in the pool would be a good thing at this point.

I have definitely considered it - especially now that the pool hash rate is lower, running a second pool isn't such an additional load. The main thorny point with freicoin is dealing with demurrage on user balances that are held.

Well the additional value from mining freicoin is pretty much gone at current prices of 0.0004 BTC/FRC.  My power is back with bitparking.

However, having those other merge mined pools setup would be cool.  Then people can pick & choose whichever primary they want.

As for demurrage, I'm sure you can build in one year's demurrage into the PPS or DMG payout fee.  You've considered having automatic cashouts monthly/weekly.  I think for that pool, it's reasonable to say once a year/month you would auto cash people out with balances over 10 FRC or something like that.

Once my BFL gear is here, the temptation of setting up my own pool will increase; however you're still an awesome operator.  If you prefer me to focus my efforts on helping build your pool, I'm down with that.

Not sure how much I'd be able to help just yet, but figured I'd throw it out there Smiley

Once my BFL gear is here ...
Hey, we potentially have a new turn of phrase just created.

"Once my BFL gear is here" == "When my ship comes in"

 Cheesy   Sorry, couldn't resist.

Well, when MY BFL gear turns up you can be assured of a sharp rise in hashing power.
Sadly the critical word here is "when".

I placed my order mid-February this year, so I am hopeful I will get it in time for Christmas.
Any earlier will be a bonus.

Of course, with BFL's rep, I'm still not actually sure which Christmas I'm talking about.  Grin

ditto here too... when my BFL gear arrives you'll see the hash rate at this pool :-)

My only request is that until Merge mining of PPC/TRC/FRC is made possible if there could be merge-mined pools with each of those as the head chain, since at different times each of those moves into greater profitability vs. bitcoin... it would be nice to be able to mine them with the other mergeable chains when they are in greater profitability status from time to time....

That's the same boat I'll be in - on the flip side of that - pointing a half dozen sc singles at mmpool could make the difference between 1 block a day on average and half a dozen... It's going to be a hard choice.

Is it possible to mine on a single account of Bitparking Pool with more miners simultaneously?

Yes, I have two computers mining on the same account with no issues for 12+ months.

one computer has a GPU, the other has BFL singles.
