I understand that the high fee is to protect against volatility, but I'm just stating that, by doing so, you isolate yourself from many potential clients.

Customers who value their privacy will likely still swallow the higher fees for XMR swaps on eXch if they need a quick swap when Bisq or other exchanges aren't an option for whatever reasons (time or privacy friendly payment method). As long as you have a suitable choice, you do yours.

It just depends on how much the customer is willing to pay to use any service they seek and the same applies in all walks of life. If what the customer seeks is cheaper elsewhere they have to weigh up the saving/discount with all other benefits or detriments to using that particular service. In the end without a doubt, regular customers will continue to use eXch as an option for swaps they deem to be within their fee range. Customers who value their privacy will likely still swallow the higher fees for XMR swaps on eXch if they need a quick swap when Bisq or other exchanges aren't an option for whatever reasons (time or privacy friendly payment method). As long as you have a suitable choice, you do yours.

They are very careful about adding pairs. They even drop off their plans of adding Solana. As far as I understand, they are adding only coins which are already high established and valuable projects, they do not think only about mining fees.

I'm not talking about Solana. ethereum L2s like arbitrum (my favorite obviously lol) are growing very fast and almost all exchanges accept them now. would bring more traffic wouldn't it? bridging from a l2 is now is also extremely cheap

There are literally dozens of Ethereum L2 and, personally, I don't see why arbitrum is better than any other (Base, Linea, polygon, OP, zksync, blast, scroll, etc etc) ... Some exchanges accepts only USDT on mainchain, like exch.cx and bitstamp, for example. I agree that it might bring some traffic, but it also adds development and maintenance costs

There's a recent reply posted by OP regarding their stance on the possibility of adding other networks in page 26. Refer to it for now. But if you need a direct answer, you may have to wait for OP's next reply. Here's the quote: I know that there was a discussion about it earlier, but what is the final statement, will there be or is it planned to integrate other "cheaper" networks than Ethereum and ERC20? I imagine that many would like the possibility of swapping to TRC20.
Most likely not and specially if the purpose of supporting the whole new network is only because of 1 stablecoin (USDT). USDC is quitting Tron by February 2025, DAI is Ethereum only, other stablecoins are either scam or potential scam. Almost every crypto company looks like this https://youtube.com/watch?v=soNnMObpiYM so I think you might understand our lack of motivation to support centralized stablecoins (we support them with risks assumed).

I had a question - which may have even been answered (I apologize for the repetition).
I don't usually use the Bisq market, but being a P2P market, the exchange rate tends to be a little higher. Since eXch bases its price on the average value in the last few hours on Bisq. More or less, what is the % exchange rate difference compared to traditional exchanges?

Since eXch bases its price on the average value in the last few hours on Bisq. More or less, what is the % exchange rate difference compared to traditional exchanges? That's not easy to answer. Don't forget that each centralized exchange updates it's rates almost second by second, and they all have different rates, depending on their liquidity and orders. Bisq keeps the rates longer, maybe for a minute between price updates when you perform a swap. I don't see big differences. You can always open a few exchanges in different tabs in your browser and observe the price movements in real time for a bit. For instance, https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDC?type=spot and https://www.okx.com/trade-spot/btc-usdc and then compare that to what you would get on eXch for the same pair.

this exchange the best regardless ‼️ this my only wish They are very careful about adding pairs. They even drop off their plans of adding Solana. As far as I understand, they are adding only coins which are already high established and valuable projects, they do not think only about mining fees. There could be a wish list for members to request new pairs and be passed on to the owners but as was pointed out on a couple of occasions before by members, they do not want to expand right now. You are right, they are very careful indeed about adding pairs and if memory serves correct they are against the idea of pairing with several widely used and popular platforms including TRON. Got yesterday my Prize for the eXch Free raffle ! Thank you ! Congratulations

I'm dropping by to give a one line solution to all of exch.cx's problems with monero liquidity and the lack of profit they apparently make despite charging buyers with 5% service fees. Here it goes:
Instead of using bisq's price as the de facto monero price, simply set the price yourselves at whatever you want it to be since you have more (real) volume than any monero exchange on the market, including the centralized exchanges.
Eg: current monero price on bisq is $162, exch.cx sets it's real price at $172. You can also lower buyer's fees by a lot now.

This wont work for several reasons. The first is that monero volume in the last 24h according to coinmarketcap was $140,037,146 XMR, and exch.cx only has 77 XMR in its reserves. Exch.cx is just a small exchange. Kraken, Gate.io, HTX, Kucoin etc are much bigger

-snip- and exch.cx only has 77 XMR in its reserves.
Just for additional context, it was about 100XMR 10 hours ago, then raised to about 250XMR just a few hours ago before going down to 70XMR. For other Altcoin reserves and Bitcoin reserves, I haven't monitored them.

I think that a big role is played by various trading bots, of which there are many more on traditional and centralized exchanges. I'm unsure if it makes sense to automate trading using bots on instant exchanges like eXch. Most CEX also have their bots that generate fake volume, so they can manipulate the price up to a certain point.

The other exchanges that you mention have around 10-15k monero on their entire books, most being market maker coins (they don't get traded much). The lack of liquidity that exch has is due to them not being able to supply enough coins. They already have the buyers that are willing to pay 5%+ in fees and who eat up all the available supply in less than 24h, so what they need more is monero sellers to sell on exch (instead of some other places). How do you incentivise people to sell on your exchange? By offering better prices.

The volume of XMR over the last 24 hours for eXch is 6776.91 . I have the impression that eXch no longer really suffers from liquidity problems with XMR.

On exchange volume is not indicative of liquidity problems, disposable coins are, or how easy it is for them to resupply. This is what is hard and hence why I made the initial post.
