That PoS guestimate is very wrong. It takes into account all the coin piles you have (and sums their chances), while it is possible for only one pile to PoS. We should fix this soon.

the other way around would be wrong too add 50x 1% chance together and say u have a 50% chance is wrong but say u have a 1% chance with all ur coin pile is wrong too but of we state biggest coin pile chance and then say 1% that would be ok but anyway its a minor issue its not related to any POS mechanic its just a poor atempt to give a overview about ur coin weight

I have to agree with Cryptonit. The coin change is not a real problem and can be fixed very simple by using original address. Large coin piles are not staking as expected I still think "reactor" is the real cause of this problem. The forking issues were CAUSED by Danbi's pool gaining greater than 51% and even high as 65% of network. The importance of PoW pools and solo mining is even greater now. I certainly do not give a F about mining DMD anymore and rate is steadily falling as ppl realize not profitable. I have also quit buying. DMD is going to die if drastic measures are not taken. PoW should be restored to a minimum of 0.5 or u are soon to lose all PoW support, PoS is broken again as Cryptonit says. Just another failed coin where I lose my money Step up and fix it before I lose again

Hey guys, here's a link to my show, Coin of the Week. Sunday night I talked about DMD. It's more of a show for new people, New investors - so they can get acquainted with a coin and it's properties. https://soundcloud.com/supernetradio/coin-of-the-week-episode-2-diamond-dmd

Pretty cool. It's nice to see DMD get a little attention aimed at newer people. I'd be curious to hear about new investors interest in DMD. As it is, it's an incredibly easy coin to get involved in -- with or without mining hardware or big pockets.

@cryptonit thank you for your reply I just question if my investment was worth it. I put a great deal of time into working with reaslhet on kernel and also bringing donkeypool online. I think there are several points of failure/exploit. PoW reduction for one, and secondly not enough wallets open for PoS.

Do I really have to dig into the diamond wallet code and find what is wrong? Dev team is responsible for this. I have enough work to do with NOMP!

Fork...Donkeypool seems to be on the right one - it uses the same (and ONLY the same) master nodes. Right now we agree with https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dmd/ and the pool is shitting (DMD) like a frat house on Sunday morning. fork? danbi diff, Block: 38.57, 893,073; chainz.cryptoid.info diff, Block: 16.6, 893106. I on chainz.cryptoid.info.

I'm betting some staking wallets out there were never messed with after the POW reduction hit. Oh well, poor guys.

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dmd/correct chain nearly all network wallets and the big staking wallets are there as far as i can see mostly only danbi pool and his miners are affected a technical answer why this happend again we will ask daniel its his pool and he is main contributor to dmd diamond source code too so he know both sides if u mining there i strong suggest u switch to solo mining or even up hashrate between donkey and danbi it would be good if a 3rd pool establish to give people who refuse to mine solo a alternative split hashrate between 3 pools would be much better than only 2 sad story miningfield didnt reopen his pools i guess real life eating up his time

what can we say what do we see
we are same as u part of dmd community in december 2013 former dev zuper did go inactive because he created a own social networking service company
since then we try to work in best interest for dmd diamond
same as u we can see actual situation and that there must be a issue which make forking off mainchain for a high hashrate pool possible
i can just suggest avoid mine on a pool who have close to 40% or more of network hashrate or set up ur rigs in solo mining mode until we able identify and fix the orgin of this problem
also i did ask for help community run backbone nodes with static ip which run in listen=1 and addnode to other backbone nodes mode
the 4 nodes we have now are overloaded
latency in block syncing increase possibility of forks happening
we cant do all alone we need ur help
if u able run a backbone node please get in touch with me PM i tell ya the conf u need and we will add ur ip to community nodes list
im in process of set up 2 additional nodes i will pay out of my own pocket
but maybe some of u have access to servers who can act as backbone node too
and please dont run ur wallets in connect and listen=0 mode
this way u ONLY use backbone nodes and no other nodes in network can help our backbone relay blockdata to u

Just woke up and wallet was out of sync refusing to sync up. Stopped it and restarted, it synced up .... I think donkeypool on right fork as it's still generating blocks. BTW don't even need a static IP to run a known good node ... looking for my IP now, I have banscore set very low and will drop misbehaving nodes quickly. Here I am 50.186.77.84 Only time my IP changes is after a power failure and even then I usually get same one Just had a look at cryptoid ...I think dave is right and donkey is shitting DMD again Looking at diff I just restarted mining even if it is still a bit high ...

good nodes always important for network and their dynamic IP will spread by nodes exchange peers lists
but for backbone nodes which are part of suggested diamond.conf we can use only use nodes who have static IP

Yes but if u can afford to pay for static IP LOL. I know I'm on right chain at the moment Question: Why did wallet say I had 43 seconds to stake when I had just staked a day before, u are right there is a bug in staking code ... Backbone nodes ... WTF I thought Danbi's was most stable but it is failing network now

Just checking in to make sure this is the correct conf to run still:
listen=1 noirc=1 addnode=193.68.21.19 addnode=54.191.208.14 addnode=54.255.133.30 addnode=54.86.164.216 addnode=193.136.97.30 addnode=193.136.96.30 bantime=3600 maxconnections=50
This is what I have been running. I am only POS minting since the start of the new wallet. It has been open 24/7. Difficulty and blocks seem ok.
