Alright, I mined some of this when it first came out... before the windows wallet GUI was available.. now I'm trying to restore my wallet.. I don't have the seed, but I do have the monerowallet.bin.keys file... the problem is I appear to have lost my password... is there anyway to recover with just the .keys file?... because I dont remember what password I used

So my only question is , Who is this Elrippo you speak of?  That's this guy, my original account. Unfortunately got hacekd and the admins didn't reply since 16.06.2017, so had to create this account  Bummer man I didn't know you got hacked. I thought I was messing with a buddy of yours.  Did you start a thread on it and get the hacked account neg trust? Or is this someone impersonating elrippo just saying that his account is hacked? Well, i did wright the admins a signed message on 16.06.2017 but didn't hear anything since. I think i will go the other way and get me some computational help  I do believe you but am not up on verifying accounts so get smooth or one of the other devs to vouch for you and I'll and I'm sure others will neg that account until you get it back. Did you PM Theymos direct? He is very pretty helpful for non scammers. |

Unfortunately not. You either need the 24 (in case of older wallets) / 25 word mnemonic seed or the .keys file + the password. |

@Vanzetti Monero trading volume on Alphabay was just a tiny fraction of the current XMR market cap.
Rationally speaking AB shutdown should have no incidence on XMR price. Yet repeating that kind of things could help creating a psychological snowball. Especially considering the amount of noobs that came in the cryptosphere lately.
So again no, it should not affect price.
The most plausible price pattern right now is that XMR will gain in value mechanically as Bitcoin goes back up. Or lose in value as Bitcoin goes down.
