Debian9 is quite old (11 was just released), not sure the devs are still targeting that. Try and restore on a more recent linux version.

Wish that developers of monero can evolve this coin into a 2.0 version smart contract type of cryptocurrency. Its privacy attribute makes it really stand out from the rest of more popular blockchain application. But it is also good that it will stay this way as a store of value, a really excellent alternative to bitcoin.

Speaking about code, any updates on haveno? this dex should already be up and running...
Development is slowly moving and I think they have active chat in matrix but someone create unofficial haveno telegram. They created design team and started working on that: https://github.com/haveno-dex/haveno-design

Maybe this has been already answered, but... why isn't there a reward for running a public Monero node? (on both TCP ports). I have read somewhere that there are only around 1000 Monero nodes, including many fake ones, those are banned automagically. I know upload rate can be limited, and I have limited it to 10 Mb/s and it made 30 GB upload per day. I don't want to see how far can I go before my ISPs FUP comes in so I have to lower the upload rate. I was just thinking that if the network is struggling with low number of public nodes, then it would be good to motivate people to run a node, no?

Why do you think 1000 is a low number for Monero? I'm not saying it's high, or even enough, but I don't see any indication that would make me believe that it's the opposite. Have you seen any reports from people trying to set up their own node and not being able to sync because of lack of open nodes with available outgoing connections?

No I didn't. I have only read a blog post about setting up a public node, where this number was written and I took it as "low", I think there was a comparison with other popular cryptos but can't remember, it was a longer time ago. But I know that syncing from scratch takes very long even if you have a fast computer with blockchain on SSD drive. I know there is the bootstrap file to be downloaded separately, but that is also capped to 3 MB/s download (you can speed it up by using a download manager with segmented downloading, though) and importing it also takes very long and requires additional drive space, and is more laborious/advanced (however, this approach has nothing to do with the number of public nodes).

Hi, guys! have you seen the network hashrate? 3.17GH/s What do you think is it? Asic's again? Botnet? It does not look like anything way out of the ordinary... a little boost so far. Could be someone decided to spin up some cloud mining or something... If it were ASICS we would should expect much bigger jumps...

Does any of the monero dev team still follow this thread?
I've been following this DEX for many years and I think with the release of their xlite and web UX they will become the benchmark. Can anyone tell me if monero is compatible now with these requirements.
Monero dev member or any technically capable member here.
If not which items are missing from this list.
In order for for a blockchain to be compatible it must support JSON RPC, CLTV atomic swaps, and the following calls:
createrawtransaction decoderawtransaction getblock getblockchaininfo (fallback getnetworkinfo, getinfo) getblockhash getnewaddress getrawmempool getrawtransaction gettransaction gettxout listunspent sendrawtransaction signmessage signrawtransaction (or signrawtransactionwithwallet) verifymessage

If you don't get an answer here then ask this in the Monero-dev channel on IRC.LIBERA.CHAT and post the answer here as well.

NOTE: Much of the beginning of this guide is taken from my related guide, “Run a Monero Node”, but is necessary here as running your own node is usually required for p2pool usage. https://sethforprivacy.com/guides/run-a-p2pool-node/

This kicks ass, it looks like it slipped by over here. crypto grampy:
This is just a little code I threw together to create an easy way to run a full Monero node on an Android phone you may have laying around the house. On my 3 year old Android, it runs great, and I can point Monerujo wallet at the phone itself rather than a remote node for the ultimate in financial privacy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z46zAy-LoHE
