they spelled Monero correctly!
But the tradition here is to spell it incorrectly. Romero, Moreno, Marilyn Monero, Mamie Van Doren-ero, throw a rock around here and you'll hit a mangled anagram, an anagramero if you will.

IRS bounty for tracking Monero has already been claimed. But if you know any other one, let me know.
Who took the bounty and what results did they have for the IRS? Chainalysis? They are only good for tracing bitcoin transactions and other blockchains that are not private, similar to zcash and Dash. They do not have the capability to hack, exploit or break the cryptography behind Monero's privacy.

I believe the "bounty" was also fullfilled by other criteria that did not break Honey Pony's proofs. It was a cheap FUD move.

Does anyone know why the wallets were locked on Poloniex for XMR?
It was just XMR and one of the BTC forks locked?

I am waiting for XMR to dip down to $95, that's if we see a significant BTC correction. Will collect more then.

Don't count on it. There is a thread for speculation.

What do you mean? In Monero, all addresses are “stealth” addresses. example of stealth address transaction on monero blockchain Pick any transaction, and tell me the addresses associated with its inputs and outputs: https://xmrchain.net/

They are automatically generated upon creating a transaction. All wallet software does this. Are you perhaps referring to subaddresses?

I have updated the GUI from 0.17.1.1 to 0.17.1.4 and now when I launch it
I have the warning: "Wallet is not connected to daemon"
And then: "Daemon failed to start
Timed out, local node is not responding after 120 seconds.
Please check your wallet and daemon log for errors. You can also start to try monerod.exe manually"
Why is that?

@Termie. Ciphertrace has patents to claims that they have created the technology to trace transactions in the Monero blockchain hehe. Also, cryptocoin privacy is a cat and mouse game. The development team of Monero will cover all holes Ciphertrace opens and this will occur back and forth.
The article also mentioned exchange delistings. This makes my skepticism stronger that their article is for only fud.

Have you already tried rebooting your system? Also, do you use a custom data directory for the blockchain?

The exchanges have delisted privacy centered coins because they do not want to be shut down by local governments for "potentially" harboring criminals from monetary transactions. They also do not want to be held responsible for helping transact dirty crypto used by bad actors. It's all about the CYA aspect of remaining viable as an exchange in order to maintain income for stakeholders. Ask yourself, why do so many non-USA exchanges not allow or even IP block NA retail traders? That AML/KYC is a B.

Thanks for explain. I just read this tutorial. good to know Monero set as default. Interesting, I will use monero.
