I still in love with this project, i cannot say anything else. t was one of these coins with a good and clear idea, with a very amazing and well skilled developement team behind. But in the last year i think i didn´t heard very much of this coin anymore, i hope we can do a little bit more advertising or something like that, because i really want to see this coin back in the Top 10. Security and anonymity is something everyone needs.
No news is good news on a functional, fungible, wealth trasfer system that is immutable, pruneable and very reasonably scalable as well as cheap! Pennys to send is a dream other coins cannot reach sans half of these features. And I'm sure I forgot some off the top of my head.. All major milestones have been met and more, and don't forget the unmitigated success RandomX has been so far. @nullius, IOU+sM ^^^--- fyi, I use these placeholders to not forget. You are right, no news can be good news in the crypto world. But there also must be some new project in the pipeline. I really hope there will be some in the near future, there shoild be also a new roadmap, that people can see the future visions of the project. I treuly believe in the next bull run monero will be one of the top 10 coins again. But the usecases must grow and this is a very important thing. Well will see what the future brings to us.

I completely disagree with the bolded. Monero has one usecase and that is all it needs.

I think without pruning it's already like 80 GB or more, and even with pruning maybe more than 32.

Will a 32 GB thumb last a few months, or should use my only bigger usb, which is 128 GB. I would prefer to save the bigger usb for other things. So how long does it take for the blockchain to grow 5 GB with pruning?

The number of transactions is on the rise, but considering that it took 6 years to get to 26.5, I would guess you'd get at least another year out of it if not two. Although RingCT transactions are significantly larger than pre-RingCT, if I remember correctly, but still, I would guess at least a year.

Lets not forget bulletproofs have shrunk transaction what 90%? so I'm going to hazard a guess that current transactions today are smaller than those initially and therefore he should have a few years. either way its not tough to copy 32gb thumb drives when the time comes. But I don't know the numbers just taking a wild guess that I'm pretty confident is true.

See here: https://monero.stackexchange.com/questions/211/how-much-larger-are-monero-transactions-compared-to-the-average-bitcoin-transactLooks like pre-RingCT could be as small as a few hundred bytes for normal txs, now about 2 kB.

It was just RingCT without bulletproofs were humongous, like 14 kB for regular tx or something, and I think that may have been during kind of alphabay insanity days, so maybe significant portion of that 26 GB is from them, but that is a lot more analysis than I'm willing to provide

Transactions are about 3% of BTC right now I think. I'm not sure if they track linearly or not but that would be interesting graph to see.

Hi, We have added Monero on our services. Check out for free which Monero source code is probably based on. Check out our code analysis: https://coincode.sh/c/xmr/Just ask and we will tell what code Monero is based on. I think you have made the mistake of thinking this is some shitcoin that has a bunch of tards that don't do their due diligence. Did you know that most of the replies to the Monero BitcoinTalk thread are Legendary Members? Check out our thread analysis: https://cointhread.sh/c/xmr/Regards, Did you know that if you had extrapolated what I posted above from this then you would have never got a reply from me?

Weird how the price has felt so suppressed.
I have seen this rising volume chart rising higher up.
I tried to overlay it on the price chart from January, but they didnt seem to correlate.
i dont like "extrapolate" lets see the actual number.
