Something weird is happening, whenever I mine for a certain amount of time, all shares are getting refused. Anybody having this issue? I don't know if time is the factor or something else happening on the computer but it is very weird.
Are you using cpuminer-multi? (minerd) I have the same problem - whether I use the --no-longpoll flag or not, it still switches to "booooo" after some number of hashes, and then stays there. It looks like a bug in the pool code, as the difficulty appears to drop back to the pool's openign value at the same time. i.e. pool might start me off at difficulty 500.. it will then go up to a higher level incrementally with lots of "yay", and then suddenly minerd shows difficulty back at 500 and forevermore get boooo. I'm back to using simpleminer again and just running multiple instances of it - one for each cpu thread. Yes I'm using cpuminer-multi ! I figured I had more hash with it. For simpleminer if you don't run multiple instance then all threads are not hashing? might be why I had low Hashrate. Some pools seem to handle this better than others. I wrote a little Linux shell script to fix it. It basically just runs cpuminer for about 5 minutes, kills it and then restarts. You'll need to install the timelimit command (apt-get install timelimit) while true ; do timelimit -t 300 ./minerd -a cryptonight --url=extremepool.org:7777 --user=xxxxxxxxx --pass=x -t 8 --no-longpoll; sleep 2; done

What is the difference between Bytecoin and Monero in terms of technology?
Bytecoin had the most scammy launch ever on crypto with a 80% premined blockchain. Monero dev team saved this technology from the abyss and made it better, a lot better in only a month actually, so it has become the leading cryptonote coin (consequently, eventually the leading anon coin). It's the only cryptonote coin with a sound dev team behind with future prospects. It's based on hard work and optimization mostly, not on marketing scams. Price will eventually rise naturally if the job continues being done in a solid fashion. I guess the fully functional GUI will make it more accessible to the general public once released. Bitcoin started without a GUI as well in case you weren't there back in the day.

I'm back to using simpleminer again and just running multiple instances of it - one for each cpu thread. Same here as well. Now the really weird part is this is only happening on my Linux Mint box at home... all my ubuntu vps's hash just fine with the same miner and settings for days on end with less that 5% rejects for 50 vps's. The only thing I can peg as a culprit is my home box has a FX8350 and mayhaps this is indeed a bug in the difficulty adjustment (cause it seems it takes a shit right at the first adjustment). this is "invalid job id" problem, the pool status is not correct. it's hard to resolve. the worst is that if you get boooo, you always get boooo before you restart you cpuminer. i have tried to implement a pushpool, but handling blob is too complex for me currently.

Sometimes it's working and sometimes it's not working. Yesterday I waited 9 hours for my withdraw to be processed.

Yesterday a mod on trollbox tell me this is due to the nature of MRO API (??) and not the Poloniex's fault. How can that be ? Does automatic withdrawal on Swaphole work ?

I hope Darksend Masternode investors did their homework on Ring Signature technology. When coins already exist (Monero) that are more anonymous than Darkcoin/Darksend without requiring centralized nodes only accessible to those rich enough to afford the arbitrary amount, it stands to topple your whole system.
Monero is like a decentralized Darkcoin if you think about it.
This Price will go easy over 0.01

Evan already basically admited he can't implement ring signatures RC3 Progress ReportI've had some substantial progress on DarkSend and have figured out how to make our existing system as secure as ring signatures. Vastly improved security, no bloat (from the ring signatures) and without actually having to trust new cryptography (it hasn't been extensively tested like what DarkSend uses) . So I think it'll give us a HUGE advantage in the coming months. More to come soon, I'm going to start implementing this tomorrow. The scam starts to unveil.

Evan says he plans to implement Ring Signatures after Darkcoin is open sourced, which will be a few months from now, rougly august. He's also going to implement I2P as well. Monero is left in the dust.
