How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years?

Such a small amount i can not retire if made only 5 btc.. its not enough for me. maybe in other country that you can live long with that amount of money..
For me 50 plus is enough for me to retire in 20 years because i can start my own business and be a boss.

the best option is as much as possible, for me if i can have 100bitcoin for retirementday i will very happy with it.

That would depend on the value of bitcoin and how much would BTC be worth in 20 years which is by all ways almost impossible to predict, Generally I expect anything around the range of 500 BTC to 1000 BTC to be enough.

Yeah, that would suffice, if the price would really increase to five figures...But if it won't reach that rate, I think it is better if we could find a steady source instead of savings..

If you want to retire in 20 years you need allot of coins that is what i can tell you you know that the price of the bitcoin is around the 600 dollar each so if you can calculate you need allot of them.

I respect your opinion but I can tell your frankly that I would be happy to have at least 100 BTC for my retirement, I am not ambitious enough to live a luxurious life because all I want is a simple life living in a peaceful place, and I know with 100 BTC I could live a decent life already.

All these people thinking it is that easy to get rich and thinking bitcoin will be worth 100k a pop are pretty crazy.
It will reach 5k a coin MAX if lucky, I don't see them getting any higher. They are already having trouble to reach the 750 right now it's just swinging back and forth around 600. How do you propose they would boost up to 100k a piece that's impossible. I think to retire in 20 years have as much as possible, try to invest what you can lose.

Do not feel safe about 5 bitcoins for retirement in 20 years.  Well if you are lucky you may have your guess of $100K of each bitcoin price.  But bitcoin price is volatile and you cannot predict how much it will gain or when it will go low.  If you want to be safe with your retirement, just earn as much as you can while you are able.  And do not rely only on bitcoins.  We do not hold the future.

Lol I think 10k bitcoin is the amount that is too large. I'm sure you will not reach that amount even if you use a variety of methods to be used within a period of 20 years. unless you're running a large business then it is a popular business and explode. you can become a millionaire from it

I am not even sure if bitcoin will survive for that long but if they you still don't know how much they will be worth at that time. It all depends on alot of variables which are unpredictable so if you are aiming for retirement it is best to just get as much as you can before big events happen.

It really is a gamble as nobody knows what is going to happen in the future.For investing in a small number of bitcoin if it all goes bad then its a relatively small amount of money lost when spread over a span of 20 years.But it could also be the best financial decision of your life if its value skyrockets as some people think.

Yes, it would took a lifetime if we will collect 1000 bitcoin especially if you have no start up for that.  I agree with 100 it is more realistic and can be done if we are eager and earnest with the goal of funds for retirement.  Let us all hope that bitcoin price would go higher and higher by the time we could earn those amount.

If you have a 100 Bitcoin and the price is at least $1000 then I believe that you should be good to retire with.

Well, the amount depends on the satisfaction of every investor, we should think base on our wants and needs in the future because with so much money that we will not be able to spend will become a problem.
