How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years?

Many people in this thread, including me, predict that in 20 years Bitcoin will cost from $10k to $20k. Of course those numbers make sense only if the buying capacity of USD will be the same as it is today.

In short to retire in 20 years you'll need from 100 to 200 BTC.

200 BTC is enough to help live a comfortable life for most people, that amount would be quickly depleted if the person's lifestyle changed to include "lavish spending".

Yeah absolutely right mate, if we getting older you need more necessary to you and your family. But if make bitcoin as living in my country is sound good because the price of bitcoin is high rather than my currency.

I don't think bitcoin will survive for next 20 years, its age limit is not more then 10 years I guess, and I will use only for 5 years, I will sell all my coins after 5 years and will be satisfied with the profits that I will earn.

Well, maybe we need a bitcoin as much in that year, in fact it could have been 1000 BTC right? but if you already think and strategize so that you can generate that much bitcoin. possible trade and investment alone will not be enough to generate a bitcoin that much, you might have to make a wide variety of online stores that accept bitcoin

Either you have already enough cash to buy that much, you are good at trading or you do some shady stuff which could give you a high return but also the risk to get arrested.

I think you need a lot of Bitcoins and that is because you dont know what the value will be and that is the problem of the currency it is hard to know what the value will be.
So I think you need some 50 BTC to retire in 20 years and that is a lot but you have to be safe also.

I think when talking about the highest price. bitcoin has the highest price of all currencies in the world.
therefore investment in bitcoin is very good for a future when you have retired, and the possibility that the price could be higher than the current

No one can judge what will be the price of bitcoin after 20 year, and we are also not survive whether it will survive that long time or not, its better to play with bitcoin in short term.

If you look at the price of the coin now you will need allot of coins to retire in 20 years. But you can
be lucky if the price of the coin is rising that much maybe it takes less then 20 years.
