With bitcoin nothing is sure, same as that is the future. So nothing needs to be specific for the future, try to grab and earn bitcoin that is affordable. It is expected to give you a pleasant living after retirement.

I agree with you, even though we can say that bitcoin has really a promising future awaits for it. Still we can't predict and say what can happen
in future about bitcoin and also for its price. And yeah it is better to get more bitcoins today or exchange fiat to btc if you afford to.

We don't know what will be the price of bitcoin in future, even 10 btc can take care of us or even 100 btc won't be enough, everything depends on the price of bitcoin.
Nobody sees the future but our belief in bitcoins will make it happen, the price will rise in the future as the demand increases, you need to understand that we are in the modern world of technology and in the future we are going full digital and bitcoins is a good tool to realize that.

I think 10 BTC is on the very low side as it will mean that the price has to go to $20,000/$30,000 in order to retire from it as a start. And remember that $200,000/$300,000 isn't really that high as it will take less than 10 years to burn through that money.

It's depend on price of bitcoin, if it's cost 400$ i think you need 4-5millions  in bitcoins it is 10k bitcoins. But also it's depend on country where are you want to live.

do you mean 4 million Dollars? but every country have his own currency and every currency's price is different in dollar. I don't think 4 million dollar will enough for retirment life. we of course need more for that. even I think we should have 10 million at least to live an happy life after retirement. and its depends on bitcoin price also..

Just collect all bitcoins that you can collect, the future is still far, 20 years is still far from now. In that case, I am thinking that we don't need a number of bitcoin for our retirement, big changes could come before we retire, so, if we want to live our retirement using bitcoin, it would be much better if we could find a sustainable source of bitcoin instead. Or a good investment or business(in bitcoin) to engaged in so that our retirement won't be just relying on how much is in our wallet.

Make a business, use your ability to make money, especially to your everyday life. Just dreaming in the next 20 years you will have 200 BTC and will have a luxurious life is crap if you do not start your steps from now. But somehow, it can be a motivation for us.
it seems you have to make bitcoin how many targets you want to get. you can not run without a goal.
moreover only dream to get 200 BTC. you have to convince yourself that you can get 200 BTC it with ease and you're closer dude

I think 100 btc would be enough for me to live a good retired life, as cost of living is not too high in my country so 100 btc can take best care of me and my family.

Me too, I would love to have my dream realize if I have that 100 BTC for my retirement, in my country too I think that amount will be fine as  I can pay all my medicines and take a good vacation trip getting old.

half of that amount will be fine in 20 year
by that time from now if we dont count this halving we will have 5 more at least
so in some opinion price for one could be 10k so 50 btc could be worth a lot

only speculation on this and some opinion

I dont think that will be enough. And first of all we cant be sure to what will happen with the price. Maybe if you got BTC100 then withdraw it to fiat then keep it. But if you let bitcoin stay in your online wallet then that would have risk and btc price might also get down.

As a human we have our own definition of enough, the basis is always our lifestyle, if one can live with a simple lifestyle and live in a country where the cost of living is low then I would say that the 100 BTC is more than enough.

Yes you need to consider on how you live, the way on how you are living daily. If you live in a cost less living then I think 1,000 btc is enough for you
20 years, and it is enough to create a business for it for 20 years,

1000 btc is too high mate, its not possible for everyone to hold it and it also seems to be unrealistic amount to hold, keep on collecting as much as you can till you reach retirement stage.

It depends on what the price per Bitcoin is at that moment and with how much money you want to retire with. Lets say the price is $5000 with in 20 years, that means that with 100 you would have $500,000 which is not bad at all.

$5000 seems to be the price that is difficult to achieve, you have to imagine the next 20 years the price of at least $1000, so you need more bitcoin, 1000 bitcoin very decent.

In next 20 years the price of bitcoin would be more then $1k for sure, and I think it will be around $5k if everything goes fine with bitcoin till then.

Bitcoin price is unpredictable. We can set a time for it. It may goes down,or goes up quickly. By the way, keep that 2BTC now, maybe gonna give you a high price for incoming 20 years.

Well that's true we don't know want will happen to bitcoin in the future, if its price is going to be that really high, or it is going to be that low.
But many speculations that in the future bitcoin will rise. So, your suggestion of holding 2 btc for 20 years.
Is good enough for a long term investment.

the bitcoin price is very unpredictable, in next 20years bitcoin price can rise +9999% or -9999%
i think use "only bitcoin" for retirement day is bad idea, we must have other currency like U.S. dollar , other invest ment like gold, to preparation for the worst situation (bitcoin price fail) .
