There are some big volumes on c-cex today. I dunno who need this dead coin now (i think it's impossible to pump: first 'new' bot owner presumably is big bag holder and likes to dump it... but maybe it's he who's trying to pump it now?..), but anyway. 4 BTC vol today and max price was 1100 sat. Moto is on 6th place among 'hot' coins. So i hope more people will know about MOTO. Maaaybe even human mining makes some sense now. You know. For poor counties or something. Maybe MOTO becomes more healthy because of more bots. But i must say again that i am just vaguely wondering about more bots, i have no proofs. We need some tech savvy like HunterMinerCrafter to refute or confirm it.

At that price it's $2 for 50 blocks...

guys around September this year I want to pay a graphic designer to create new sprites and skins
is there anyone that I can somehow pay to develop a phone version? that can somehow be connected to some amazon servers to cionnect to the blockchain or something?
I want to make the game marketable to the public...

With HunterMinerCrafter gone i'm pretty sure this coin will never reach mass adoption.
You can try but I think it'll be a waste of money. I don't want to be negative but we don't even have a dev.

Have you started working on the skins option menu?

Barely. I should have more time to work on it after Wednesday.  I'll have it done by the weekend, at the latest.

Now I am sure something bad has happened to HunterMinerCrafter. Look how long ago this quoted post was.

Last Active:   December 03, 2014, 03:59:37 AM

I'm being serious, I think he/someone close to him died. Maybe he crashed his car and is in a coma.

Maybe we can find out who he is.

The following is a small part of a PM from HunterMinerCrafter dating back months ago.
Quote
I've been doing digital logic design professionally for almost two decades
This tells us he is at least 36 and the quote at the top tells us something bad happened between the 3rd and 7th of November 2014. so something happened after the 3rd of December. Now we need to find out what.

I hope very much he alright. It's not so unusual that somebody lost interest in something or has no time for it (he stated in his last posts he had a lot of work). It's happened much more often than tragic accidents. But I actually start to worry after your comment. I really want to hear him again to make sure he is okay. I hope soon we will see him again.

Also, today I made a little graphics pack for myself:

It's just images from Google with almost zero work, but I still think it's pretty cute.

Hi everybody!

Today I finally finished my bot... At last... But... obviously, it's too late to get any profit from it... Grin

So, I'll just leave it here.

http://www.filedropper.com/motogame

The bot is relatively simple but requires only 3-5 minutes to get a block (it's strange, maybe dominant bot owner intentionally slowed down his bot to make human mining possible?).

It does not send any percentage of mined MOTO anywhere because it would require wallet modification and I just don't want to waste my time on this thing anymore Grin

But! You can send me some BTC if you find it useful Grin

Thank you. Virus Total scan does not reveal anything. I'll run it sandboxed nevertheless and report back. Always very risky to run code from someone untrusted. Can you post the code to github?

The bot doesn't really do anything as far as I can see... It only loops the CPU at 100%. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Also, still no source code posted. It would be great to be able to compile it from source and run it in a small machine (like a Raspberry) 24/7

It "found" two blocks for me but they were both rejected.

I left it running for hour and a half, and it found nothing. Can you confirm this 100% CPU loop behaviour?

I think I'm doing it right. I replaced motogame by the bot .exe. When I click to play the game, nothing happens, one can only see motogame.exe on the task manager, is this normal?

I get a block about every half hour with my laptop i3. Maybe the bot doesn't work properly on some CPUs? And of course, the process is kind of random, sometimes there are no blocks in hours and sometimes it's several blocks in a row.

And yes, source code is badly needed. So more people will trust and mine. And with source code it will be also possible to compile/re-write this bot for linux.

Anyway, it's a good news. Hashrate is well distributed again and MOTO can function as cryptocurrency now (again). Also I tried to mine manually, it's still quite possible. But now only about 5-10 bots running. What would happen if 'hashrate' will be high enough? Maybe human mining will be still possible for good player while computer mining will be too costly? Who knows.

With well distibuted 'blockrate' it's good time to promotion. But honestly I don't know what we can do for MOTO popularization. If only we had a dev...

I didn't get any block on my Windows 7 VM. Had it running for 2/2,5 hours total... Since this doesn't seem to be malicious I'll try it outside the VM on Windows 8.1, on my desktop.

Pretty wierd, this guy just creates an account to drop his bot, and never logs in again. All this without giving source code...

As for the hashrate, how many of us are running this bot? How do you know there are 5-10 running?

Also, can you please confirm the bot behavior (so that I can see if I'm setting it up correctly)? When you click play, the motogame.exe just runs in the background without any windows and goes full throttle on the CPU?

Yes, it behaves just like you described. Later I tried it on some old Athlon, works too (I got a block about every hour). But I don't use VM. Also, I have Win 7 on both machines. Do you have the latest wallet version of 8 Sep 2014? https://github.com/motocoin-dev/motocoin/releases/tag/HMCtesting3

Of course, we still should be suspicious and I don't recommend to run this bot on machine which has any valuable information.

>How do you know there are 5-10 running?

I just looked at the number of connections in qt wallet. Before the Necromonger's bot it was usually 2-3 connections (first bot and c-cex, I guess? also block explorer). During the last little pump it was about 5-7 (some people start to mine manually, I guess). And just now it's 10 (and it was 11 not so long ago).

>Pretty wierd, this guy just creates an account to drop his bot, and never logs in again. All this without giving source code...

I guess this guy just sat here read-only and made an account when it was necessary to upload the bot finally. Maybe he is shy about his bad style code or don't want to somebody improve the bot. Or wrote it in some windows-only environment. Or he want all of our privkeys are belong to him. I don't know. Of course, I will say again, we must be suspicious. And it's sad that this guy don't even log in again to tell us why he don't want to give a source code.

Yes, I have that version. I can mine blocks manually. I can't get any block neither with a 4 year old laptop with AMD CPU, neither a Core 2 Duo. Pretty odd...

Haven't seen more than 4/5 connections lately. And some might not be running the bot Smiley

As for private keys, if he has mine, he hasn't used them so far Cheesy
