Where is a link to the GUI?
Hey, It's http://solominer.org/, it also can be found in the 1st post. SwapHole is having issues with the wallet and daemon, I attempted to withdraw and they say my address is not being accepted as valid, and can't seem to refund the coins to my account. They say they've been trying to contact the dev. Not good.
Can confirm this, atm we're trying to solve their issues. Cheers.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Quick question: Do merged mined coins tend to be popular among miners? I so, Fantomcoin should be pretty popular among the early CryptoNote crowd.
FCN was started only ~3 weeks ago. I guess you can differentiate it as "early crowd" material.

apologies for posting in 2 different threads but this FCN thread looks busier than the Solominer one and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Hi - are there any TARD instructions for getting this working on OSX Mavericks please? I understand that both daemons for your chosen merged pair need to be running (really struggling with this... Annoying, as my Win7 setup runs like a dream) I guess Solominer is the GUI that minerc performs on my win7 Machine Here's what I've tried -bash: fantomcoind: command not found
-bash: ./fantomcoind: Operation not permitted
so I try with admin privileges sudo ./fantomcoind Password: sudo: unable to execute ./fantomcoind: Operation not permitted
The above also is the same for simplewallet What DIR should I put the files into and how do i tweak the permissions so they work please? I have homebrew and Xcode dev tools installed

I think FCN is quite perspective. The main advantages for me are MM and 60 sec blocks

Was logged in as an admin, navigated to the fantomcoin folder through the terminal and started it "./fantomcoind" - like this.

I've re-downloaded and am now playing with chmod +x and chown to see if its a permission problem still no joy

Is this just a pump and dump coin or one with a development plan and a future?

It's a merged mining coin, the way I see it, it completely relies on the main coins which are so far doing good. I highly doubt that dev will abandon this coin. After all it's a first merged mining so there is a high chance that FCN will be added to all major pools as a default MM option. I know it sounds fanboy-ish but so far the dev been very active and helpful.

Fantomcoin is an experiment in merged mining for CryptoNote.
IMO, this experiment looks successful

What do you mean by development plan? Certainly, FCN has a future. Problems will arise when the amount of FCN reaches its max supply

FCN seems to be a great coin but the price on the exchange is quite discouraging.

Yes, this is why I asked the question earlier - why is it doing so poorly on exchanges?

It is new coin. I think that the price will become adequate soon.

Yes, this is why I asked the question earlier - why is it doing so poorly on exchanges? There was a large dump by someone just recently both in QCN and FCN, which destroyed the exchange rate. I guess now it need some time to cool off and restore at least 0.001 exchange rate.

Yes, this is why I asked the question earlier - why is it doing so poorly on exchanges? I also wondered about that. Maybe such a price is due to the fact that it is difficult to mine FCN?

Really flowing now Where would the block chain files be saved on OSX Mavericks.... Rather than wait for them I was going to drag them out of my Win7 box Or try and link to the other running instances Also is anyone running with a cross LAN config? ie minerc --node1=192.168.0.45:8081 --node2=192.168.0.46:24081 --wallet1=ADDRESS --wallet2=ADDDRESS
Then I will only need 2 blockchains and not 2 copies of each and mine to the same wallets?

Is home/.fantomcoin /usr/local/bin? Are the .files hidden (Sorry I'm new to mac but reasonable with Win and IP stuff)
