News section on CryptoNote.org
We are happy to announce a news section on the cryptonote.org. The new section is dedicated to new developments, ideas and news from the CryptoNote realm. About two years ago the CryptoNote technology had only been represented by Bytecoin (BCN) but since then things have changed dramatically. Not only the number of Bytecoins has soared, the other coins such as Quazarcoin, Fantomcoin and Monero are taking the cryptocurrency world by storm. The CryptoNote community becomes very diverse and geographically disseminated therefore we believe it is our duty to spread the word and bring everyone at one place.  Just by clicking on the news tab you’ll have the latest account on what’s been going on with CryptoNote-based currencies along with fresh updates from the devs at hand. The idea is to turn this website into a vibrant pool of information accessible to anybody who wants to keep one's finger on the pulse of CryptoNote technology. If you are a CryptoNote enthusiast and you have some ideas worth sharing, please don’t hesitate to contact us at news@cryptonote.org

This is great news. I'm glad that the CN-based currencies are developing and I hope  it will take significant market share of digital currency

I'm interesting do MM-coins are popular among  miners?
IMO, FCN is pretty popular among the early CN crowd.

FCN has the best chance to survive among all CN cryptos because of its MM capabilities.
If it was put on NXT AE, demand for it would quickly grow to the point where it's on par with Monero, as FCN is so undervalued now. Bitcoinbear should set up a Fantomcoin gateway on the NXT AE to drive demand. Other centralized exchanges demand that you do heavy voting or pay them, NXT AE just requires that you pay a fee to issue an asset, a fee of 1000 NXTs (~$70) that goes to the forgers and you're set as a gateway. A new market for Fantomcoin won't hurt.

Bytecoin was heavily premined, which is what many consider to have caused it to fall out of favor. Another difference is that Bytecoin will have 184 billion coins, compared to Fantomcoin having 18.4 million (more value per coin).

I mine FCN from almost month. My power is 1600 kH/s.
I'm mining FCN and MRO, and from two weeks I don't mined not a single block of MRO. Is that because of this huge MRO diff?

Thanks! Do I understand correctly that the Fantomcoin is the most developed and perspective alternative CN-based currency?

I agree. I also like the logo. I think it is the best alternative among logos of cryptocurrencies
