Yes how does it keep markets stable. Because if this is true then there should be a crypto for all commodities. How about Potashcoin?

Well smart contracts and commodity trading are the future for blockchain technology. Everyone seems so intent on copying Bitcoin when there are other forward thinking opportunities out there.

no-one is trying to fix the price of urea to anything stable.
URO does not need to have any $$value stability to acheive it's parity goal.

if urea is worth $1000 tonne, or if urea is worth $75 tonne. it would still be worth one URO.

my mac wallet shows the same.. but it has no config setup, it worked fine. and has 5 connections (just started again)  shows same block and same 2 hours behind.  block explorer shows same.  maybe the networks hung up on a block, difficulty is 1288

$MAID & $BTC other than that some short hodls and some long held garbage.

So free market question...what happens if on July 9th and URO prices are still hovering around a few dollars and someone wants to exchange 1 URO for one ton of Urea? Are the companies involved obligated contractually to send $300-$400 worth of Urea for a coin worth only a few dollars? Or am I to assume they know there is an element of risk and short-term profit loss but will see the price shoot up and stabilize naturally once the transactions are confirmed legit in the public arena?

So how does Buying Urea with URO instead of dollars change that!!!! Everything stays the same and millions of tons of urea is produced and required for its numerous uses. There wont be any anonymous transactions with URO trust me. According to the Uro Protocol, its FOB - so you would have to arrange shipping from port of origin. Am sure you cant arrange shipping anonymously Smiley

Ah- and this for sure is not your another pump and dump coin.

I guess we shouldn't be buying petroleum contracts either because I could order a few barrels of oil which can be used as an explosive as well  Grin

You are right though, this is no pump and dump but the future of commodities trading and I suspect the going price in a few weeks will blow away the kiddies in crypto who think a copy pasta coin reaching 10 cents is monumental.

Just consider it a scam until:
1) someone (ideally the uro foundation) sets up a vennd URO to Counterparty-xURO gateway,
2) I post a trade for 10 tons of http://blockscan.com/assetInfo.aspx?q=SOYBEAN for 20 tons of xURO
3) speculators fill those trades
4) Green Earth systems sends me a container with 20 tons of Urea, and I send back 10 tons of soybeans

Then, my friends, it's off to the races.

But someone will have to convince me I should trust whomever the hell is running the big silent URO-mining farm, unless the uro foundation offers to make good on xURO as well. There are plenty of good reasons I don't trust the bitcoin blockchain, but at least I know it's ghash.io and the NSA. Until I have a better idea who the miners are securing the network, and how that's going to be sustainable if there's just transaction fees, it's a fun little game, but it's not real commodities.

My guess is it's the same thing that clobbers us on Catcoin. Welcome to the wonderful world of multipools with 100x the hashrate of most small coins.

I can probably come up with a long-term fix for this problem, but it will take some testing, and I expect to get paid for my time in physical Urea delivered to Iowa in a shipping container.

But I just checked (04:30UTC) and it's a block 20708 and moving again.

Urea was first discovered in urine otherwise known as piss. It's not piss but it can come from it making this essentially a pisscoin.

Warning: Commodities Scammers may have invaded Crypto!

Before I decide to invest, I usually do extensive background checking and this takes a lot of time and effort. It pisses me off when I see a lot of red flags and I feel I wasted my time researching. That's why I share info for your guidance. At least, my wasted effort may help you.

An article dated 2003:
http://greenearthsystems.com.au/green-earth-systems-joins-with-ltg-to-become-one-of-6-major-importers-of-commodity-libya/

In 2008, Green Earth Systems were known as a CCTV seller:

https://web.archive.org/web/20091024025014/http://www.greenearthsystems.com.au/profile.html

Some reviews of buyers of CCTV systems:
http://www.truelocal.com.au/business/green-earth-systems/rydalmere

Nilesh Nair LinkedIn
http://au.linkedin.com/pub/nilesh-nair/40/6aa/554

Green Earth Systems also distribute pollution control systems in India:
http://chennai.yellowpages.co.in/green-earth-systems-pvt-ltd/choolaimedu/listing/67351718959

Dr. Vinny Pillay maybe more experienced as a cosmetic surgeon than a commodities broker:
https://web.archive.org/web/20130422123456/http://www.gescommodity.com/pages-L2/gessouthafrica.html

See pic on the wall:
https://web.archive.org/web/20131216174423/http://www.gescommodity.com/images/Adhir.JPG

Stephen Lo of Crown Team Corporation Limited:
https://twitter.com/jackfru1t/status/476566316472487936

is associated with money launderers:
http://www.thewhistleblowers.org/?p=32170

Wasted work hours studying this URO piss!

All three members of the board are very questionable: http://uro.io/

Maybe I would buy Uro coin if it was CCTVcoin and it was pegged to their CCTV products.

He is either trying to spread fud to buy at lower prices or he does not understand what the coin is about. I too am wondering how can diversification be considered as scam. They are into many businesses.
