we have an updated logo

check twitter

https://twitter.com/X11COIN

also - in thinking the name.. my vote is for "XC" for numerous reasons

and if you check out the logo - the Circle behind the X - which in binary is "11" - we can shorten to make a C

thoughts?

i think the name XC is perfect but the logo i think should be like this but with a c in there http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=&imgrefurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.movieweb.com%2Fnews%2Fx-men-first-class-logo&h=0&w=0&tbnid=RjvPzn4T4B0W-M&zoom=1&tbnh=240&tbnw=210&docid=9yNQpuv5OP11gM&tbm=isch&ei=JrJ9U-nRH4r88QW1x4DQCg&ved=0CAIQsCUoAA

That looks extremely old fashioned. I would be more than happy to shorten the back to C let me know if you want it done.

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

It looks extremely old fashioned;similar logos have been done before in coins and they changed the logo for that reason. I believe the dev liked my logo because it looked simplistic and modern, well that's at least what people on twitter said.

i never said it didn't look good, but the dev seams to want to take this mainstream with the andorid wallet and i just think something a bit more slick would be more marketable.

Slick and modern so we already have that Wink I could change it to a flat logo but the dev specifically wanted one at an angle. Thanks for the feedback.

Guys, maybe a noob question but can I use the wallet as it is right now or do I need to wait for the new wallet to come out? I want to cold store my coins held at an exchange since I am not selling them any time soon.
I am using Windows btw. Thanks

Thank you Smiley. The anon wallet is definately not a scam! I understand your apprehension, but I got a good feeling from this dev. If he wanted to scam us he would've done it by the time XC was trading at 18k sat last night (or morning depending where you are on this globe) it must hurt him that people think this is a scam, but again everyone has the right to be cautious. Tonight the Linux wallet will be released with the anon functionality working.

Keep the faith brother !

..I cant believe that only Suprnova has real amount of workers at this X11 coin. Is there any other alive pool?
At this moment the network is about 30GH , the Suprnova shares only 6.5GH , where do you mining guys?
Suprnova had idle times for about 6 hours today...

let's help XC surpass DRK
might seam impossible but it's not we can do it  Grin

if the XC wallet comes out before darkcoin publishes their wallet with darksend on 25th.. why not? Cheesy
DRK has vulnerability's and it sounds like our DEV is filling in the gaps and making it stronger, if this is true watch DRK get left behind in the dust, you saw MRO, only thing that held it back was the wallet usability, if XC delivers on improved anonymity  and usable wallet we will be were DRK is now, NO DOUBT!!!! i don't believe DRK is the next ltc, but i think this could be

I see this happening in several stages before we get to a final "gui wallet" release

  • Linux Wallet w/ anon
  • Windows GUI Wallet w/ anon<-> beta
  • Rapid Updates of Windows GUI Wallet, each update improving over the last

it will take time to polish up the windows gui wallet, the first release will only have the anon update, then the team will focus more on the wallet, ease of use, and other enhancements while still refining the anon feature

Are you still planning on having the "your wallet is out of date" notice - especially as you say "Rapid" updates?

Yes, a Linux wallet at first and sometime later (might be a little longer) a Windows wallet as well. The Linux wallet will have full anon transactions and will prove X11Coin and it's dev are legit and that we will go to the moon.

There needs to be a FAQ sheet.  I will go through shortly and compile it and then send it to Atsecure.

have a little faith, this is a sr member, putting his reputation on the line in front of the whole community..think about that, because to some, reputation is worth more then money

right on, well said. I've been into this crypto game a while and this is the first time I feel the dev is true and honest, even though solid info is sparse at this point in time. I for one hold all my xc firmly and hope you all do the same. Aim for the moon brothers.

And this is where a regular miner (like me) can actually have more coins than the premine by the dev....   I can't think of a recent coin that I can say that.   This coin didn't have instamine like most other coins.  The launch was super smooth by a competent dev.  That alone is worth so much.

Well just wanted to release another update on the wallet... The goal is to release a linux wallet as soon as a few last pieces of code issues are resolved, my hope is that this happens during the next 8 hours or so.. I'll provide another update around 1pm EST on the progress, this release will serve as proof that the anonymous features are actually working and implemented in the code.

I've personally already spent a lot of time and money to get this point, money and time that was taken from my family & kids.... If I was to scam people and dump my premine, it would have happened during yesterdays peak... I'm no fool - XC will be huge once this wallet is released and I'm going to see that happen.. but with any venture there is RISK, and personally I feel I'm risking a lot on this project and I know others are as well..

I've hired another DEV to assist with the QT wallet as I simply don't have the bandwidth, the QT wallet is the Windows-GUI wallet.. the Windows Wallet won't be released until after the linux wallet unfortunately...
