No one would loose any coins,i'm no tech expert but i presume there would be a hard fork with the wallet release,correct me if i am wrong ofc  Yes, it would hard fork at a certain block # Dev -- I think it would be a good idea to cut down the number of PoW blocks as well. Make it like only 1 week left of mining after the wallet release or something. Or cut the block reward and make 2-3 weeks of mining left. Either way, make like 12-16m max Pow coins -- this, in combination with anon wallet release will create biggest hype / panic buys a coin has ever seen. |

Keep in mind, we need coins set aside for the anon pool's.. which will take away available coins as well... anywhere from 100 to 10,000 per pool... first release won't require pools though

Coin count won't matter at that point. If anon feature is out you won't need more than 1000 XC to bounty the MP. And you'll only need one official multipool |

--------------- IMPORTANT --------------- I spoke with the Dev around 30 mins ago regarding the reduction of PoW coins, and he basically said that the decision to do so would be left with the community, so it is up to us whether he goes ahead or not. DEV:I'm open to anything, but can't think about that now, too much anon work to do - if the community agree's to reduce POW them I will do MY VOTE:Reduce PoW Blocks to about 10M coins (Remaining coins still need to 8-15 weeks mining until PoS) After 10 to 33 Just PoS. The Dev is willing to do so if us, as a community, really wants this, but the decision must be taken before the wallet release.I'm in as long as it means that I don't loose any of my coins. +1 |

Ya, we don't need a thread for that. Dev just needs to make a decision on the matter soon and announce it in advance before he releases the wallet. I don't care if he cuts the # of blocks or reduces the reward (or both), but max PoW coins should be anywhere from 10-15m, IMO. Maybe just make it 12m --> that will mean about 1/2 the total coins can still be mined once wallet releases (assuming it releases in a day or so). Just be prepared for trolls to FUD on the move. But the anon wallet release should silence any noise they may make -- because they will be too busy panic buying like everyone else! |
