Its actually sad that Namecoin isn't listed on any tier 1 exchanges now. Almost 10 years old. Merged mined with bitcoin. Actively developed.

Namecoin will be around 10 years from now as well. Most other coins and projects won't. Lindy.

Although, it seems most of the "Cryptocurrency hype" for exchange volume chasers thus far is for new projects... I think that the "old coin hype" is coming soon though.

We need to start selling namecoin domains. I happen to own a pair of those. One is called "bebenda.zunda" while another one is a domain I wanna sell to synoptic weather bureau called "weather.lalala". I think if we get people to stir some noise around domain thing which is unique to namecoin, we will be rewarded by attention from crypto community. Disclaimer: Im not selling bebenda.zunda for less than 6 btc.

Have the devs thought of shooting a coin request to Bittrex to add Namecoin as they have Peercoin and litecoin. So why not add namecoin too could be an OG revival sort of thing that could stir up a bit of attention amongst the pile of new shiny crap

I agree, but just a thought.

In all honesty I prefer Namecoin being quietly developed than to have high market attention for now, than have the developers being bombarded with speculators. You think the Ethereum developers are genuinely happy with development as the coins making new highs

Namecoin Core 0.21.0.1 and ncdns v0.1.2 are released.  Among other things, the new Namecoin Core release features UX and security/privacy improvements to the RPC API; the new ncdns release fixes compatibility with ASLR/PIE on Windows 10 and paves the way for scalability improvements in Namecoin's TLS support.

I've been kinda out of the loop with things ever since BTC-e/Wex went down but have tried to keep my eye on this coin. The idea behind it is solid and it's got a long history as well as still being an active project. Curious why it's not traded on more platforms? Only place that seems to have much volume right now is Coinex.

Would be nice to try and get some hype going. Not so much for the price action (though I would like that too lol) but more because with all the cancel culture crap and deplatforming etc the concept of decentralized DNS couldn't be more appealing.
