Where's that? Do you have the link to the old zip? Let me delete the database and try the old one.

They shouldn't be expired, they were created with the only one left. Only difference is the rest had no data.

The old version will should make no difference. You will have to redownload the blockchain to use it.

If you dare pm or bm (BM-NB81CEbJSvP5ScNtJXTP2CzRrfQkKVvh) me on or more of the missing names and I will take a look.

Try to dump the privkey for the address that currently holds the name.
The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

It looks like they expired. They are not even taken by somebody else. You are aware that you have to renew names every 36000 blocks (~200days)?

If you are not fully synced it is possible that the names still show up because the client does not know yet that they expired.

I would suggest for you to try and reregister. Note that some of the namespaces you used are obsolete, though. Currently d/ and id/ are active.

In the GUI click    help --> "debug window" --> console tab     then enter "name_history d/yourfancyname" to get some information about it.

I assume you modified the value - that is the same as renewing.

Yeah, it would be nice if it would show expired domains for a while. In red or something.

It would be nice if the expiry period was at least a year. Let's see if we can change that some time...

whats the lookup command? name_show? is this what bitmessage does?
Probably. There are other commands that let you get the information, though.

No its just dns, you still need hosting. this isnt tor
nmc is just a registrar like name.com

My namecoin wallet is stuck at 56 weeks for syncing, this is the first namecoin wallet I've downloaded.  Any suggestions?

I have restarted the client it still is stuck on 56 weeks?  Wasn't trying to spam, I just include it as a signature, besides we do accept namecoin for products so it seemed appropriate.  But I understand and thank you for the help

For some reason today it just went thru, after 4 days of trying....hmm strange?  Now if your mining with eligius and put in merge mining, i guess you only get paid on payout times correct?  Is there an area to see what namecoin amount you have?

Domob's latest trick:

Merged on git, will be included in the next release.

Note this just looks up the address holding the name so there is still room for privacy improvements, e.g. stealth addresses or something. But for public addresses like donation addresses it's pretty cool.

Oh shit noice!!!  Now we just need Bitcoin Core to integrate it too, then namecoin, bitcoin, and bitmessage can call be used without addresses, but with a single namecoin id.
