Exactly, coins like Namecoin have a long history that has gone through time to test their useful existence, they are essential to the crypto market. Before it was ICO time, now defi but old coins are still solid and they will recover.

Right now, NameCoin have the mining difficulty and network-hashrate almost as Bitcoin, and cost $0.57.
It seems like, a real price, economically justified price, for bitcoin is ~$1-2, because of this.

It should be noted that Namecoin is "merge mined" with Bitcoin.  This means the Bitcoin miners secure the Namecoin network and use no more electricity or work than they would just mining Bitcoin alone.

this means miners so poor, to do not let themself to buy NMC,

I guess you are just trolling.  But just in case this isn't clear, Namecoin's main purpose is (unlike most other altcoins/tokens) not to be an investment, but to be actually useful as decentralised domain name and general naming system.

Still holding my namecoins and looking to buy a few thousands more. Glad the price didn't go up as I can accumulate at cheaper prices  Namecoin is here to stay and has dedicated devs and people and not your casual scammers, ferrari dreamers techbros.

Very funny to see that "Jeremy Rand" aka biolizard89 is giving here the impression of being the personification of Namecoin taking care of security issues like TLS (always supported by the known forum troll, spammer and weapon dealer BayAreaCoins), but has even no clue about the real security issues. Today a funny security report reached me about missing SPF, DKIM and DMARC records in the DNS settings of the domain namecoin.org (Wayback), so it's easy to fake emails with which_email_ever(@)namecoin.org over a simple SMTP server, what you can install as a feature on any old Windows system. Just create a fake email header and put it as txt-file in the pickup-folder - done! I want to mention here again that the domain and website at namecoin.org is currently under control of Jeremy Rand, who is just one contributor among many others. Namecoin never released a whitepaper nor is it backed by any organization behind the project. So Namecoin is completely a community project and currently I'm working on an new website with connected blockchain explorer and community portal. For the general situation of Namecoin please visit my thread The ℕamecoin Project, what I locked as Bitcointalk turned out to be under control of trolls and scammers.

In the meantime I recommend everyone to invest in Namecoin as it is very cheap at the moment, and the value will increase significant once I recovered the entire Namecoin project after it has been corrupted by the cumulative social and professional incompetence of those who pretend to be the incarnation of the project! Note that there is only one single trustworthy exchange left at the moment offering Namecoin, after two trusted exchanges got severely compromised by hackers, see the related Telegram Channel for details and updates! Especially be aware of the private exchange operated by the aggressive forum member BayAreaCoins as main shareholder mentioned above, who spammed the whole forum with his advertisement in endless threads thousands of times for his unsuccessful exchange template, which got not accredited as financial service! Note further that I won't maintain any ongoing discussion in this forum any longer, so troll postings will be ignored!
