This is what I did:

1) Removed wallet.dat from OLD vericoin app data..put in safe place
2) Deleted everything in old vericoin appdata including the folder itsself.
3) Downloaded 1.2
4) Installed 1.2
5) Ran 1.2 for a few minutes & closed it
6) removed NEW wallet.dat & replaced with old one
7) restarted 1.2

Result: Wallet is stuck on blk 21161 & I have no Coins in 'unconfirmed'

Am I doing something wrong? Why is this not user friendly, I feel like I need to go to college to figure this out. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, update.. looks like im fully synced. However, is it possible my prior stake interest was on a 'fork' chain, as its showing in transactions as 'not accepted'. If so , thats ok.. i can understand that, the bulk of my coin is in hand now. Sorry if I got a lil silly.. was just a lil fustrated. Ill keep wallet open for now, if it helps things?

Yes, you are doing it wrong. Do it as the directions posted for 1.1.2 were listed. Do not use your old wallet by replacing the temporary new one.

You need to export your privatekey from your current wallet & import it into a new wallet.

It appears that some of the wallets are borked from being attached to certain forks.

Again as with all software, it's in testing, UNTIL a bug is found Smiley

If i could suggest ,

1 / Send all your coin to an exchange

2 / install a fresh new wallet on ur computer with a fresh new wallet.dat ( new adress )

3 / send your coin from exchange to your new wallet .

4 / you have now a fresh wallet with just 1 transaction .  exchange > wallet

cheers ,

They were impatient. They will be kicking themselves when we hit Cryptsy and the price skyrockets.

If the wallet didn't have the sync issues it would be worth a lot more.  That's probably why you see sell offs.

SD,
Thanks for the clarification. Maybe I misread the tweet. Either way, good news in general happening with VRC.

The devs have been busy with wallet issues and the multipool. It's not on the agenda at this point.

ANON is a whole can of worms that has to be carefully considered before making any decisions.

VeriCoin has NOT implemented ANON.

The original tweet was not from an official source. I think something that he overheard from someone. You know how rumors go. It a was well meaning but inaccurate tweet.

If we ever go in that direction, The VeriCoin development team will announce it through official channels.
