So if my Internet drops out while I am mixing, I get banned and I can't send XC anymore?
Or am I wrong here? Please explain this a bit better.
No. Dan stated on the previous page that there's a rating system, and nodes that don't sign a transaction get downrated. Also, this system is being upgraded for Rev 3. Finally this system is not to ensure the security of your coins, since nodes that drop out can't steal anything (i.e. security is no issue). Rather, the rating system is to prevent DOS attacks on the network. Nodes that attempt to systematically and intentionally drop out of the network get downrated and therefore can't continue to do so. |

I agree, we need more volume, otherwise people might start leaving XC and that will result in a price drop that XC will probably not recover from. I don't think that's true. XC's tech is so strong that the price at any given point is completely unimportant. Tech like this is incredibly valuable; it's just a matter of when external factors coincide to facilitate the price coming to reflect its true value. |

You'll have to ask Dan about the details of the ratings system, but if your node's internet connection keeps dropping out it would effectively be a DOS attack on XC's network, and so your node would get downrated. But to clarify: your node only mixes transactions when you make a payment. So it wouldn't get rated at all unless you were continually making payments. |

Xc will bring back sanity after rev3 you and others said the same before rev2 : "xc will be huge after rev2" , "volume will increase, price will rise" and bla bla bla. I said that price will be the same. Adn what we see now? price is the same like before rev2 and volume is awful so i dont think that it will change very after rev3. and i remenber that devs said that we will see rev3 in autumn, but i dont think so  because its second month on autumn and we dont have date of rev2.5... |

When your node is supposed to relay a fragment (transaction or chat message), but stalls, is it downgraded then as well? Yes it would be downgraded if it stalls - though chat messages don't get fragmented, and nor do they get mixed, so the rating system doesn't apply to XChat. But an occasional stall will not get you into trouble. XChat is based only on the Xnode protocol, which is end-to-end encryption. This is important because chat messages should not get stored on the blockchain, as this would be a privacy risk (and it would bloat the chain). |
