Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Are you saying the XC Installer isn't user friendly and easy to use? XC is one of the very FEW coins with 1-click installer package
Sorry if I'm complaining too much Basically cryptos are not user friendly, and what I mean by that is putting simply "I cannot give this to my mother so that she can use that safely". Regarding XC, my experience is: 1) [bad]on my MAC wallet (10.6. couldn't install 2) [fine] on my windows 7 did, but asked for some firewall settings 3) [good] first look on XC-official 4) [bad] download pages looks like 80's webpage (not looking trusty for regular computer user) 5) [very good] the concept 6) [bad-not user friendly] updating wallet, setting up xmixer In my feeling the milestones are: 1) Making it user friendly (easy clickable configuration and updating of all officially ananounced features) 2) making mobile wallet 3) maybe... creating a brainwallet... (wallet safe while breaking your device) or having possibility to choose between network and file wallet? 4) 3-rd party safe - a concept of mine (probably somone else could already invent this also) which will require another synchronised wallet (like a friend) to confirm transactions, so that friends could replace each other institutions like banks, which now keep out money safe (require verification). Cheers

Cheers there are usefuls remarks! I got to say though that the download pages you mention are extremely handy for our current test releases, after official REV3 launch small details such as these should definitely be looked into, but perhaps not right now. I actually really hope price stabilizes around 100k, cause I wanna try Circle around these days and purchase myself as much XC as possible.

I am amazed how small the buy support is for this coin on Bittrex. A tiny dump of 5.8 BTC would bring it back from 100K to 10K.

coin is dead, I havent seen this unhealthy of price movement in a very long time, Seems no matter the publicity it gets people still wanna dump this coin and move on. This in turn causes new investors to turn away, from investing in XC because no1 wants to touch a falling commodity/coin. And dont try to say its a bot on Bittrex because the price action has been definitely human O well, ya win some and loose some.

Id agree from a traders perspective it may well look like a dead coin. But.... Ive not seen anything else in crypto with as much awesome development! Far from dead in my opinion - which may not be worth much to everyone else but to me it is! Sorry... longtime quiet XC supporter. Thought Id support less quietly......

Yeah i thought the same about bitcoin when it was around a $1 and wasn't going up so i sold...now i drink myself to sleep every night Yup. The price daytraders/non-believers/weak hands are willing to let go of their XC for means nothing. My coins are going with me to the grave. Revolutionary tech > opportunity to dump for % loss or gain... I'm not here for the $ or the BTC, they are just the current measurements of something which is inherently better than both of them...

Speaking of lack of liquidity, one of the major things that inspired the creation of the Blocknet is that we perceived a need to create an entire ecosystem for XCurrency.
Real usage has to start somewhere. It'll start on the Blocknet, and as we approach our official public launch we expect it to become more and more of a real-world thing.

Is Blocknet to be released before rev3 - official release? A little clarification with the timeline would be great Synechist. Where does the XC Inc ITO, Blocknet ITO/release figure with XC rev 3 release? Thanks in advance!

However the order of the latter are fairly likely to be reversed so that we can launch with handy things like in-app fiat purchases and investment capital for marketing.

I would have estimated that Blocknet would be a longterm project? - i.e over a year....a decentralized exchange, plus all the other massive components isnt something you code over a month or two. Look at openbazaar....thats just one piece probably as big as a decentralized exchange.

when will we see the first versions with the UI. I don't need specific date just some timeframe.
I think alot of people still don'T get the blocknet fully but thats ok. its like the thought of a stateless society. it requires abandoning some old thought processes that have been established through years of public school education and mass media. it takes time. If you don't have that time xc is not an easy place to be atm. if you are willing to stick through the rewards should be massive.
For the team it will be a delicate task to find a middle ground between catering to the conservative needs of investors (progress on the coin itself in a more self centred fashion) and carefully establishing a openminded understanding of the revolutionary concepts getting worked on beyond that.
everybody that is still trying to wrap their had around the blocknet have to start with this thought:
the blocknet is not an entity! its just the summ of all nodes implementing the Xbridge in a decentralised fashion. nothing goes "through" the blocknet. you can't shut it of. It is to the blockchain of different coins what their blockchain is to their different nodes. Its the biggest step in development since the blockchain itself. i'm repeating myself here to help people understand.
In an ideal future most coins will have the Xbridge enabled in their wallet. so the same parameters of free market and competition will be in place on the blocknet like on the internet now. So nobody has to fear xc giving of his tech to the blocknet, thats not possible.

^^ Your explanations have really helped many of us understand the benefits and implications of the blocknet. I really appreciate it . A quick question about distribution. With so many people seeking xmixers, do we risk locking up too many coins? Is there a limit to the total number of mixers allowable?

Some of the tech is already part-done BTW. This isn't too huge a task. ;-)
