wow only 13.64% XC are on mintpal and bittrex/cryptsy doesn't appear in top 20 largest wallets.
Basically, 85%+ of coins are stacking ATM.  XC holding very strong Smiley

yeah, rather have them stake than to sell/dump at these ridiculous prices  Cool

Mintpal can get hacked any time... Bittrex don't have much volumes anyway for XC.  So, the best place is in my wallet staking and generating more coins.  Wink

Think of XC as Google. Google.com is the product. Google is the company name.

Same thing here with XC. XC is the company its product is the Xcurrency.

The Apps it will be building on blockchain 2.0 are the features like storage, video chatting, messaging etc.

You hit it!!!

What I am hoping for is XC blockchain 2.0 applications beats out Ethereum in being released.   If Ethereum can pull that much btc in their presale... imagine XC being able to do the same....

Do you have to leave the wallet running for coins to stake?  I've read about POW and POS but still don't understand how it works.

To put it simply, let's say i have 2 blocks of 333 coins, what do i get if i just leave them there cold storage to leaving them there with a wallet online?

it's a set amount of 3.33% a year so it should be the same if you leave it open or leave it closed, i have had my wallet locked too staking and closed for over a month just got the laptop out of where i store it tonight opened up the wallet unlocked it for staking and got a stake almost instantaneous, hope this helps.

Hi,that does help a lot.  I'm sorry if the question is basic, but did you HAVE to switch your laptop on or if you would have left it off would it have made a difference?

I'm sorry if it's a "Noob" question.

When XC gets its official public launch, brace yourselves. The market is ready for a fully anonymous multifunctional IM client. See this news and wechat is centralized and easily snooped on.

If XC decides to charge some sort of fee to use their private communication platform (chat, voice, & video)... I can't even begin to imagine how high the price will soar.

This is just personal opinion and i have expressed it only to be ridiculed (not here) quite a few times, but i think the price XC will rise to in the next 12-36 months will make BTC's peak look like chicken feed, XC can be huge! and all the right steps are being taken to make this a reality and not just speculation, brace your selves, there is going to be some very rich people from this thread in the next few years....i know a lot of people think i'm delusional..but..i think you will all be surprised..how big XC is going too get.

For anyone who watches Kristov Atlas' news cast, he recently featured XC (minute 9:36) here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsNJcwQvEi8&feature=youtu.be

Huge thanks to Kirstov for highlighting XC, but some of the information is not accurate and I thought I'd post synechist's (Arlyn Culwick) clarification on how XC works (seen in the youtube comment section) here, to help avoid possible confusion.

synechist:

Every XC app is an Xnode and no balance needs to be held in it.  Secondly, while this review is correct that XC is different to Darkcoin and that it doesn't use Coinjoin, it's not correct that XC's privacy transactions are off-blockchain.

Privacy Mode is on-chain, but breaks transactions into fragments and utilises trustless mixing to forward fragments on to the recipient. (It's not a ring signature either; it's a unique m-of-m multisig transaction.)

  • Since every node forwards fragments, there's no telling whether a node is the originator or final receiver of a fragment. Therefore receiver/sender address is concealed.
  • Since fragments are sent, there's no telling what the full amount of any given transaction is. Therefore the amount sent/received is concealed.
  • Since trustless mixing is m-of-m multisig, no node can steal coins. They can either sign or opt out. (In the latter case, fragments are sent via spare nodes).

XC will soon be adding "stealth addresses" to its arsenal. This will allow the receiver to publicise a receiving address, while payments sent to it will arrive in another address, prevent associating the receiver with amounts received.

Finally XC nodes can run as TOR nodes, so that not only are their IP addresses concealed, but since they do not use exit nodes they're immune to packet sniffers.

As such, XC claims to be completely private. Sender address, receiver address, amount, and IP address are all kept private.  Future developments will allow increasing control over degrees of privacy, enabling XC transactions to be flexible and tailored to a wide variety of use-cases.

I should have an updated whitepaper on both the decentralized trustless mixing [which is multi-sig based] and the xchat by Sunday night, if not sooner.

You are right. I share the same sentiment. I've been proclaiming the fact that XC is a company, a platform since the very beginning. We hold xc 'coins' but I see them as stock, or shares of that company. I hold and have held since May this year. I'm not thinking about selling any time soon. It's only a matter of time before either venture capital starts feeding on xc or a large company wants to buy the technology. It wont happen overnight, but I am patient and I will keep my faith whatever the market conditions are, we will get there.

have been holding about the same time frame, and will seriously starve before i sell lol, people who hold long term will profit greatly, and yes i agree completely this is like a stock, exciting times!! everyone who is holding even a few should consider themselves extremely lucky.

Hi all,

After the great succes with Coingateway I think we should make the same effort for Coinssource TrustIndex.

We all know XC is the best altcoin (and more), but like I said before, not every newbie in Altcoin is going to automagicly know about XC.
We need as much ways to lead them to our (great) OP as we can and I think the Coinssource trustindex is a good one.
After all the scamcoins people are looking to invest in coins/devs they can trust.

So,request verification for XC here: http://www.coinssource.com/trust-index-verification/!!
