If it has Dans stamp of approval it can't be bad, He knows what he is doing, I dare not question his judgement too much respect for him.

Collaboration is not the issue... I dont think many mind and also trust the XC team to do the right thing. My beef is how it was made public.

The collab is most likely related to tech or business connections (I'm hoping). I don't think the discrepancy in branding is going to be much of an issue.

-my story-

The collab is most likely related to tech or business connections (I'm hoping). I don't think the discrepancy in branding is going to be much of an issue.

It's not that I am not confident in the dev team, I trust they know what they are doing. But what worries me is that crypto markets are mainly driven by emotion and not rationale. So that collaboration with other coins increases the chance for (unsubstantiated) FUD. I somewhat suffer from "FUD PTSD" having been through all the drama of a few months ago, that is why I am so vigilant about it.

shit i made a big writeup for once and accidently deleted it.  Cheesy

in short:
colaborations have to be judged from case to case , in this case i think its a good side project that ads a facette to XC as a colaborating coin.
the keycoin sentiment is still strong in some, get past it, look where key is now, and i was a fierce critic back then, AEro review was already much better for XC reputation.

"leaks" like that happen with multiple people involved, but it wasn't a public twitter announcment, it was in XC thread which i still consider inner circle. and they already been quick to apologize , i think thats a nice move

XC is in a great position right now. 90% off exchanges in the monster bear market in all crypto and holding strong, announcement of collab or reviews pump other coins short term, we are becoming a force in crypto

XC is done with pumps, get ready for a real bull run, XC is imo the only coin in that position becides BTC ,last week showed that

when that news came out, I got fearful, started panicking and having doubts.

But I trust Dan and XC.

Also Qibuck sounds like an abreviation of "quick buck" which is unfortunate because it seems from the about page they are all about the complete opposite. lol

The main thing that this collaboration proves is that XC is evolving and we are seeing progress made everyday. Can't wait to see what other surprises we'll see in the future.

Thank you, I guess leaving my worries about FUD standing could be an incentive for FUD in itself. Besides, I think more people said the same thing as I did so the team is aware.

I'd stay away from collaborating with certain coins. QBK is one of them. Looks like a ponzi scheme to me.

bwahaha ...you have no idea how you guys just made me laugh! i hope you too can see the irony in all this (from wikipedia)  Grin: In traditional Chinese culture, qi (more precisely qì, also chi, ch'i or ki) is an active principle forming part of any living thing.[1][2][3] Qi is frequently translated as "natural energy", "life force", or "energy flow". Qi is the central underlying principle in traditional Chinese medicine and martial arts. The literal translation of "qi" is "breath", "air", or "gas".

Concepts similar to qi can be found in many cultures, for example, prana in the Hindu religion, pneuma in ancient Greece, mana in Hawaiian culture, lüng in Tibetan Buddhism, ruah in Hebrew culture, and vital energy in Western philosophy. Some elements of qi can be understood in the term energy when used by writers and practitioners of various esoteric forms of spirituality and alternative medicine. Elements of the qi concept can also be found in Western popular culture, for example "The Force" in Star Wars.[4] Notions in the West of energeia, élan vital, or "vitalism" are purported to be similar.[5]

Hi all

I'd like to confirm the news just posted here.

The XC and Qibuck devs are partnering to develop a feature that'll allow nodes to earn money.

A few details:

- We will make an official announcement about this on Friday.

- It's a particularly exciting feature that I'm not sure anyone else has thought of yet.

- The reason for the partnership is that by sharing resources we reduce both development time and costs, and in this case we will not disadvantage XC's market position in any way (more info as to why will follow).

- Silverkinguk (Samuel) is part of the XC team and so if he announces something it can be trusted.

- This is not the undisclosed PR-related development that I mentioned yesterday.

P.S. I've been aware of this development, but was not aware that it would be announced now. My apologies for the confusion.

That just makes the team sound incompetent. Why are we collaborating with QiBuck? XC supposed to be the best coin out there, all tech developed supposed to be original. By collaborating with other coins, we put ourselves with those coins in the same category. Do we really want to be known to associate with QIBuck? If they fail, XC’s reputation fail with it. Do we really want to take that risk? The same thing goes with Dan reviewing other coin. If Dan gave a good review and those coins turns out to be a scam or P&D. What that will do to Dan’s reputation? There are so many scams and shit coins out there, why are we not distance ourselves from them? On top of that, that guy dropped in here announce the news before the XC team can announce it first.

I love the XC team, but this is very sad.
