Mintpal is up it looks like!!! finally!!!
Wow - weird to see the entire platform completely empty of any orders. I wonder if anyone will bother to place any. Time to put an XC buy order at 0.00000001 just in case someone makes a mistake.

Might be nice if you could actually place any buy orders! Seems they still have work to do as you have to manually calculate the numbers and it still won't place the buy orders:-(

Although there is no f**ing way I am putting funds on there right now to check it out for real.

Can you demonstrate this "pattern of posting, claiming hardship, and then accepting donations from community members [...]" from Akula?
In your time of need, i would hope you do not receive the very same treatment you are giving Akula.
Provide proof, or hold your tongue.
Per your request: That's the price. Need extra cash now. Selling higher cause I need the money. I don't need anything from Amazon, I just need to pay my mortgage - i'm 1 month behind now and don't want to hit 2 months behind. Lost my job Sorry to offend anyone. LOL - Not slavery but sometimes it feels like that. I have 2 kids (10 and 11 years old) and i'm a single dad. After mortgage, utilities, food, gas, kids expenses (one son is in swimming and the other is in volleyball) i'm wiped for the month. I'm lucky to buy to 5 to 10 XC per paycheck. I'm actually excited when I accidentally save some extra money so I can take my kids out to eat once in a while. You should see me in the house shutting off all the lights and unplugging everything I can to save some money on my electricity bills.
...but the price goes to $400 and I dont want to spend that much (I have 2 kids and im a single dad, every penny counts ) I purchased 12 on that day. And true, thats all I could afford at that time. And yes, people donated and I thanked them I'm a single father with 2 kids. Sole provider. Kids need to eat, bills need to be paid, mortgage, etc.... I spend where/when I can.

Hey Everyone! I have sad news. I was scammed. And being naive and not knowing enough played a role at this. Also greed was in this. There is a user named BobbyL and he also goes by Michail1. He was looking to buy a large quantity of XC. We talked and he agreed to buy everything I had because he was offering me 3.5BTC for 1500 XC. 1500XC was my total amount I had been saving since June. I've been buying a few here and there every week (especially when it was cheap back in June). He setup a wallet on blockchain.info with a username and password with 3.5 BTC in it. When I logged into the wallet to check, I saw the BTC. I didn't get the private key to transfer funds out. He told me to send him the XC and I will get the private key. Well, I sent the XC, but he never sent anything and changed the password very quickly. This person wont return my emails. His email is passat.ltc@gmail.com - He goes by Michail Hoffman. I lost my life savings. 4 months of saving XC and it's all gone due to greed for some quick turn around cash. I feel bad. If anyone knows how to get my XC back, please help. Why did you do an off-exchange exchange? You could have seen this coming. I hope you get your XC back, I can't help you with it though, sorry. Or he is trying to scam the XC community for donations claiming he was scammed out of his XC. Who knows? It all sounds fishy to me. Lets not try to the blame the victim here. On the record he sent me a message in PM privately, I suggested my reason to what had happened and explained that it might be best to post here or on reddit. I hear ya, but it makes me skeptical when you see their pattern of posting, claiming hardship, and then accepting donations from community members to ultimately find out that they then got scammed out of everything. I've said my piece and won't comment on it again. I completely understand. I would doubt it too. But I want to be clear that it was my fault. I only posted the information so no one else gets scammed. Nothing more. I was greedy and I got hurt. My fault.

I'm sorry guys. I was naive (evian backwards ) and I saw dollar signs. I thought I could sell and then buy back more with the extra BTC. Don't fall victim like I did. If I may ask, how old are you and if you are above 18(don't say your age), what country do you live in? That 1500 XC is all of your savings.

I preferred the old layout Me too. I don't like all the dollar signs in green circles at the top. Old layout and theme was cleaner. You can tell this is all being handled by a new team.

If I may ask, how old are you and if you are above 18(don't say your age), what country do you live in? That 1500 XC is all of your savings. Im in my mid 30's. I used to make a lot of money - but with an injury and a drastic employment change a few years ago, i ate away my savings - All of it. Jobs were with temp agencies. So i would work for 3 to 4 months then be without a jobs for 3 to 6 months. I now have a steady job (just about 2 years at it). I've been putting every extra dollar I had after each paycheck into buying XC. I do have a 401k, but i've only been putting a small amount into it every paycheck for the last 11 months (that's when i became eligible). I can't touch the 401k without huge penalties. Remember, not everyone is always financially stable. When I made a lot more money in my mid to 20's to early 30's, i used to never give to charities and looked down at those people - asking them why are you begging. I never understood them. Now that I've live their lives, i try to give people that are even less fortunate than me something. Just to be clear, I'm not asking for a hand out. I want people to stay clear of this individual and not be scammed like me. I was greedy, thought I could make a few extra dollars to get some toys for my kids but I was burned. I'm basically at zero and will start buying XC again when i get paid this friday.

Yeah, i liked the old layout, and the mintleaf logo etc. why didn't they keep it as it was? Also, I thought the reason for the buyout was because everyone lost faith after those coins were stolen. Are people really gonna trust these clowns more than the old owners? they seem clueless to me. It's gonna be a long time before I even think about using it which is a shame because it was my favorite exchange before.

I just had to google that lol "A 401(k) is a retirement savings plan sponsored by an employer. It lets workers save and invest a piece of their paycheck before taxes are taken out."

My company takes a few dollars out of my paycheck (pre tax) and invests it into a mutual fund of my choice from their list. I live in the USA.
