maybe because overclock and big raw intesity
sometime same card even with same memory not have same quality, so you can give them same setting.
for example i have 2 powercolor RD RX 480 8 GB, 1 card suitable with 2180 Memory Setting and 512 raw intesity, the other just 2130 Memory Setting and 508 raw intesity.

Hello Folks,

I see reference in several places to a linux_64 version of this miner.. anyone have a link or url for the linux version?

thanks

-t

AFAIK there is no "new" linux version of this miner, last one being 9.1.
You can also check sgminer-GM or wolf's miner which both work under linux and that are performance-wise more or less on par with Claymore's 9.7.

And could / may also be pool dependant. I get low difficulty share when I have overclocked or undervolted too much.

good choice is rx470 or480  depending on what price you get them
but better of with a 5x ring than 6x  for my experience

5x ring? What do u mean. What is the hashrate on 470 and 480? Also is there a big difference in hashrate between brands off the 470 or 480

While using this miner I noticed the fan speed of the main card(rx 470) suddenly jumped to 100%! WTF??
I'd say its a driver bug. however I have it only in sgminer. I use mostly 16.9.2 and never seen it on claymore, but on sgminer I get it all the time on all the rigs I tested

EDIT: some weird combination of XMR algo code and drivers

buy 470's Nitros, if it exists with samsung mem and you can get it = the best possible. No need for 8gig
another option is 470 refs (those do come with samsung memory sometimes) for me these work better than 480

In addition to this problem is I'm not able to fix the crazy fan at normal speed unless I reset the system.
And after one amd driver crash and and reboot the driver has changed from 16.10.3 to 16.6.. but this is another issue.

same here, only the reboot solves this crazy run... it shows over 5000RPM on refs.

As username I use xmr address generated in Kraken but why the miner doesn't accept it??

I got this same error.
It was because when I C&P the address into the batch file it removed the space between the address and -p x

Have you tried to set fan rpm max limit with wattool or wattman before it rise to 100% rpm?

it fucks all the limits

Confirmed but there must be some solution. Like waterblock instead of fan after all Cheesy

sure I do have one 370 that drives my desktop which is watercooled:)

It just cannot believe there's no fan...

for rx400 series use watttool with profiles for each card/each algo.
straps are memory timings that you need to tighten in bios (bios mod)

ok i did some research and i understand how to mod the bios, you copy the value from 1500 to the higher frequencies ...

but what dos P1 clk and p1 vid , p2 clk p2 vid ... mean, are these all different gpu cards? why is the first set so low and the last so high? should you not set them the same for max hash ?

thx for the advice , appreciate it

those are the different power levels for the gpu. so the lowest is for 2D mode when you're no utilizing the GPU, the higher ones are for more demanding application calls.
