v11.3:

- removed devfee, miner is completely free now.
- added "-pow7" option to support Monero hardfork, use "-pow7 1" value to enable it.
- reduced CPU usage for systems with a lot of GPUs.

Shall we use  "-pow7 1"  now, or wait until the fork starts with a particular block time?

Interested to know this as well. Can we use this miner now with pow7 enabled? Does anyone know?

EDIT: "-pow7 1" fails to mine. Looks like you will have to change this setting manually on Friday when block 1546000 rolls around.

A good place to view the change of blocks.

Do you mean XMR stak is 20% faster than Claymore?

Yes. Read my previous comments and links.

No, XMR-STAK do NOT outperform CCNM by 20%. At least not with Terascale GPUs. It is not easy even to get comparable performance. The problem is that CCNM wil not use Terascale any more after v7 fork.

Again, read my previous comments and links. You can achieve parity with XMR stak and even outperform CCNM precisely on TeraScale. It depends if you find the right intensity and worksize. Also the main problem with STAK and TeraScale was that it only detected 384mb of memory which limited every single card, now that has been addressed in this issue through my help and the help of other contributors https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak/issues/472

I got 6990s doing ~395-400h/s per core, ~800h/s per gpu total on stak, vs 374 per core or ~ 750h/s on CCNM. Core clock and memory clocks identical in both cases.

It's no problem that CCNM will not support terascale anymore, problem is people are too lazy to work out a solution for themselves.

I use to run CCNM 9.7 400H/s+ and never ever seen more then 395 from XMR-STAK. What 20%+ are you speaking about??? Even you own data show only 6% that is usually within measuring error.

People are not "lazy" as you like to believe. Every situation is different (dedicated mining rig vs home PC, Windows 7 vs Windows 10 etc etc.)

14.4 is not a solution for everyone.

No CN-heavy, no old GPUs, sorry, I just don't have time for it.

something has changed for Aeon between 11.2 and 11.3

I did not check Aeon so I could break it when I added pow7. I will check and fix it when I have some time.

Why No CN Heavy?
Pls, we need CN Heavy

CaperVerde and Bonaire/Tobago not support now? Before hardfork i'm used version 9.7.
Claymore, add this adapters or add pow7 to 9.7 please.

Code:
╔════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗
║           Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v11.3            ║
╚════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

s (pci bus 2:0:0)
GPU #1: Bonaire (AMD Radeon R7 200 Series), 2048 MB available, 14 compute units
(pci bus 3:0:0)
POOL version
No ASM binary found for GPU 0
No ASM binary found for GPU 1
GPU #0 algorithm ASM, -h 320, -dmem 0 (Memory used: 656MB)
GPU #1 algorithm ASM, -h 896, -dmem 0 (Memory used: 1836MB)
Total cards: 2

. . .

XMR - Total Speed: 0 H/s, Total Shares: 0(0+0), Rejected: 0, Time: 00:00
XMR: GPU0 0 H/s, GPU1 0 H/s
Incorrect XMR shares: none
1 minute average XMR total speed: 0 H/s

Yep, Capeverde GPU not supported with the latest version.
I don't think that is intended. a compile error maybe?
Dear claymore many people use hd77 and R7 series graphics cards for xmr and etn mining, removing support from the miner of these video cards has deprived many miners from mining these altcoins using your miner, and also the opportunity to get commission from them. For example, HD7770 with a modified bios gives 235 hashes, which is not bad enough). Think about it, maybe you can find the time and desire to add these video cards to the miner, with respect. Hi,

I have issue with fans control using this miner.
If I specify target temperature (-tt 50), fans speed just jumps to max when temperature is more than specified and then drops to 0.
And even if I specify fans speed (-tt -50), they do not work constantly at this speed, but also periodically turn off and on again. How to solve this problem?
My rig is 8 x RX574 on Windows 10 with latest Adrenaline drivers.

Thank you in advance!

Doesn't work well with https://sumo.fairpool.xyz. Pool report 5-10 times less hashrate than miner, even with 0% rejected.

perhaps because it doesnt suport cryptonote-heavy?
check the pool page for supported miners

I had the same problem on RX480. Tried all drivers. One or two cards fans hit 100% after some time, and only reboot calms them down. It turns put its a driver problem and its still not fixed. One solution i found is to not turn on Afterburner at all on startup. If i dont use afterburner then im good. Havent tried with other tools

Hi all,

I have not used Claymore before and have just set it up for my Vega rig,

I am getting approx 1750 h/s per card with xmr-stak this was nearer 2000 h/s

The miner displays the message 'this miner is not optimised for Vega'

Can someone tell me what I need to change and where.

I have tried several settings in config but they just make things slower or not work at all.

Thanks

I do not use any other software. And I do not have this problem with Claymores dual miner. That's weird why these miners work different way with drivers.

Any ideas hot to make latest version supporting today's hard fork to mine on Radeon HD 5870? Everything start fine, but 0 H/s is all what I get. Sad

Unfortunately same 0 H/s Sad
Any other efficient miners for old AMD VGAs?
XMRig gives only 90H/s, whereas Claymore's 9.7 Miner was outputting 220H/s and that was very good for such an old card.

Claymore the owners of old cards bagging you, please add CryptoNightV7 support to 9.7 version. Your miner is simple the best for these GPUs.

same problem here! xmrig sucks, been using claymore 9.3 FOREVER.
New version of Claymore don't have an OpenCL .bin supporting the old cards.

xmrig is the only thing I can get work on new POW and old GPUs Sad
