Anyone know if Electroneum is going to fork to new modified algorithm like Monero? Wondering about my Vega profits, with Baikal Giant N coming out.

Hello,

I download " Claymore CryptoNote GPU Miner v9.7 Beta - POOL Catalyst 15.12 " and try to mice electroneum but i receive " UNKNOW OPTION " error.
Please see thr error picture that i attached.
pic link : http://s9.picofile.com/file/8321258434/Unt03itled.png
Can any one please help me to solve this?
Thanks,

Can you post the configuration you use, exactly as it is in your *.bat file, this might help us figure out what's going wrong.
Couple of things to try.

(1) Change the "-xpool" to "-o".
(2) Try another pool as test just to see what happens.

Here is the configuration I use to mine Electroneum with Claymore 9.7 and it work OK.

Code:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

NsGpuCNMiner -o stratum+tcp://pool.electroneum.space:3333 -u ADDRESS -p x -nofee 1 -allpools 1 -ftime 10 -mport 0 -r 1

my configuration is

Code:
-xpool stratum+tcp://nl.etnpool.net:3333
-xwal ADDRESS
-xpsw x

-allpools 1
-tt 75

I used your configuration but it do not work for me.
When i set your configuration the following error :

http://s9.picofile.com/file/8321547276/Untitled10.png

My graphic card is " AMD Radeon R7 Series "

Also, many people out there are still using 9.7 version miner 'cause it works with older gpus, I'm sure I'm not alone when saying this, but please could you also update that version of the miner as well? It would be very much appreciated if the old HD 5970s and 6990s could keep on hashing XMR even after the PoW change. All the best to you.
Agreed!

Claymore v9.7 is the only version that still works with VLIW GPUs like Radeon 5770. xmr-stak/xmrig-amd don't work with them...
Someone start us a petition so Claymore puts the old Cayman/Terascale binaries back in at the minimum...

Currently have a dual core rig running a 1GB Sapphire HD 6950 and a 2GB Asus R9 270X. It would be a shame if that 6950 became obsolete before it hashed its last hash... If we could somehow get both the older binaries AND Cryptonight-lite support in the same program Id be in heaven.
You can always use sgminer.

Have you actually tested it yourself, can it match what Claymore's 9.7 is doing with for example HD 6990 where each gpu is giving at least 350h + ?

Dude this is correct, You Should Change the Adress with your ETN wallet address, to run this create a .bat file name it then copy and paste the code below, of course, I repeat Change the word 'Address' Cheesy

Code:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

Nothing from Claymore so far, but I reached out to fireice, the dev of stak-xmr miner, since that is the only miner aside from claymore that somewhat supports hd 6990s, but the problem is, the memory detection doesn't work, so the cards do only about 40% of total hashpower, (here's the link https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak/issues/472) but there is a solution on the horizont that could be integrated in the next release after PoW change that will make the old cards supported fully, but it required building and testing the miner from scratch with the proposed PR, and I'm a total noob when it comes to github, so if somneone could help out, that would be amazing! You'd need to compile the miner with this PR https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak/pull/624

I'll be trying tonight, but again I'm a total noob and can't guarantee shit, would be nice if there was someone to just build the binaries... So that's the progress so far. Also I made a post here https://www.reddit.com/r/MoneroMining/comments/83vujq/xmr_mining_community_call_to_miner_devs_to/ so contribute what you can there.

Couple of things to try.

(1) Change the "-xpool" to "-o".
(2) Try another pool as test just to see what happens.

Here is the configuration I use to mine Electroneum with Claymore 9.7 and it work OK.

setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

NsGpuCNMiner -o stratum+tcp://pool.electroneum.space:3333 -u ADDRESS -p x -nofee 1 -allpools 1 -ftime 10 -mport 0 -r 1

my configuration is

Code:
-xpool stratum+tcp://nl.etnpool.net:3333
-xwal ADDRESS
-xpsw x

-allpools 1
-tt 75

I used your configuration but it do not work for me.
When i set your configuration the following error :

http://s9.picofile.com/file/8321547276/Untitled10.png

My graphic card is " AMD Radeon R7 Series "

Try this, delete the "set x" options, these are not required to mine but can help improve performance so just dump them for testing and try it without them (note; sometimes I found "set" worked without the "x", but don't bet on it).
"-xwal" and "-xpsw" are not the commands for v9.7 the commands for v9.7 are "-u" and "-p".

From your screenshots it looks like you may be getting the comands mixed up a bit with the different version of Claymore, the wallet format is different between version;
e.g. (note: on other pools USER.WORKER would be ADDRESS)

For Version 9.7:    NsGpuCNMiner -o ssl://europe.cryptonight-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20596 -u USER.WORKER -p x
For Version 11.2:  NsGpuCNMiner -xpool ssl://europe.cryptonight-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20596 -xwal USER.WORKER -xpsw x

Read the "Readme!!!.txt" file that comes with the miner it will show you what the current commands are.

I have 24 vegas.
If I mine ETH, total hashrate is ~1050 MHash/s in EthMan, pool reports 1020-1030 MHash/s average hashrate.
If I mine XMR, total hashrate is ~43 KHash/s in EthMan, pool reports 38.5-39 KHash/s average hashrate.
Rejected shares rate is <0.1% in both cases.
So while CryptoNote mining Pool receives only about 90% shares, I bet it is not normal.
Is there any way to fix it?

If looks like you got passed the "set x" problem but the " no ASM binary for GPU 0 " suggests, I think, that your card is not supported by Claymore.
Here's what I found:
"currently only popular cards are supported: Pitcairn, Tahiti, Hawaii, Fiji, Tonga, Ellesmere, Baffin, Vega. I will add other cards but a bit later"
Your card is a 'Bonaire'.

Sorry my friend but I am all out of ideas, the only other thing I can think of is to try earlier version Claymore, or try SGminer-gm-5.5.5 for Cryptonight mining, this worked on some of my rigs but would not work on 2 others, but it might work for you.

try XMR stack, these thread users shared their hashrates on RX550

I use Claymore v9.7 on Radeon 5770 with options "-nofee 1, -a 3" and the hashrate is the same (no penalty/optimizations disabled).

I did this, because the devfee XMR pools this old miner uses are unstable and tend to lose connection pretty often, so mining stops altogether.

The developer is kinda stupid for not supporting VLIW GPUs anymore and not caring about getting dev fees from them...

I understand its extra work but these cards arent dead yet... Monero and Zcash can still be mined on the 5000/6000 series cards...

With this miner Im getting issues, red errors in the miner, cards not working.
