This should help, you need at least 10,000xem to begin harvesting, the XEM has to be fully vested:
http://blog.nem.io/how-local-and-delegated-harvesting-works/

Note: Every 1440 blocks 1/10th of the unvested balance is moved to the vested part.

Thanks a lot. That means of my NEM's (bought in the exchange) 10% will be vested?

For example 300k NEM's, makes 270k unvested and 30k coins vested and with the 30k I can begin to harvest? Smiley

Uses NEM core technology. In case you ask, how this will benefit NEM, it popularises NEM as a public chain and technology, and in turn increase the utility of NEM. Mijin costs money to use. NEM is free, save for the transaction fee to use it.

NEM is a small community of crypto followers at the moment, but gaining momentum because of Mijin. No real application businesses are using NEM at the moment. In any case, most of them are in the mainstream. Mijin will help to market that to mainstream and, in  return, get more users/businesses to use NEM where they don't want to pay for the use of Mijin.

I think they got the path wrong. Shouldn't it be ":" to declare assets and not another "." ?

Its the 2-nd time now I -m trying to install the NEM client but google stops me from accesing harmfull programs that may be damaging my data or add extra messages to my internet experience.
So why is this happening and any chance you can get  google to remove that from official NEM website?
Thx!  Smiley

Its a false positive. Teams working on fixing it with GOOG. There are workarounds to get the files.

So essentially NEM community is hoping that one of the side effects of Mijin becoming popular is that it will indirectly also benefit NEM.

Lets wait and watch.

Yes, NEM community can hope, wait, and watch. As you may be aware, many are on the spectators stand. But NEM is such a beautiful piece of technology. Those who help themselves to it will gain tremendously. Those who hope and watch, hopefully have the patience.

R3 is to ETH as mijin is to NEM

except NEM is more involved in mijin than ETH is in R3

Look back a page and you'll see mijin's plan to utilize the public NEM chain when advantageous.

They are intertwined and designed to communicate with each other through shared API's
